Up at 8 feeling pretty tired after the last two nights...
We decided to breakfast at the hotel for an extra tenner between us then packed our bags and walked along to the Museum of Science & Industry for the Dr Who exhibition…
Nephew Ollie would’ve loved this and hopefully he’ll get to see it somehow before it comes to an end in October…
The Face of Bo...
The Cyber-Controller...
The Ood (Ollie's favourite)...
A Dalek...
..and I couldn’t resist this “me and a Dalek” cheesy fan pic…
We also found Granada TV and could just make out the very end of the street set for Coronation St…
Around midday, the heavens opened and we trudged up into the main part of town, taking refuge in the enormous Arndale Centre, enjoying a Starbucks coffee before moving on…
We returned to Vinyl Exchange as I’d found that one of the discs in the Porcupine Tree 2CD set I’d bought yesterday was the wrong disc…
I exchanged for a set by No Man…
With the rain still pelting down, we headed for the station, lunching at Burger King and buying some sandwiches for the journey home…
During the wait at the station and our time on the train, I managed to listen to the entire Blue Nile catalogue…
Alighting at Haymarket, we caught the bus back to Crispycat Towers where Meg the Black Cat awaited us with a bit of a story on the old meowing front…
A very enjoyable 36 hour trip which seemed like a lot longer. We both liked Manchester. It was so easy to get around the city on foot – a very compact city centre with plenty of attractions. We will visit again…
Highlight of the Day : Encountering a “real” Dalek
