A beautiful final day though...

The beast was about its business under blue skies...

This morning, these did for a young cyclist, whose wheels became caught in the tramlines, causing her to fall into the path of an oncoming vehicle...

A tragic accident...

Back home, two discs of quartets had arrived...

...but I finished off "Timeless" before sampling them as Anne was out at Zumba...

A reasonable ending...

I discovered it was cancelled after one series...

However, it was then reinstated and a further 10 episodes are planned for 2018...

We'll see...

Commenced the day with the electronics of Roll The Dice...

Then moved on to shuffleplaying my Top Ten Albums of the Month from December 2015 to now...

In the early evening, to the infirmary...

Mum doing well, although the actual strain of bacteria in her bloodstream is still to be identified and the antibiotics remain broad brush...

She is collecting canula and blood extraction bruises...

..but remains in reasonable spirits - just a bit bored really...

On the way out...

...I passed the wards I was in a year and a half ago now ...

...and noted my saviour, Mr Paterson-Brown's name on the wall...

Home around 8:30 for some tasty salad, some "Coronation Street", some Tangerine Dream and surfing and some "Holby City"...

That was it for today...

Highlight of the Day : Still being alive...

An element of chance is a good thing...

Playlist
Trioscapes - Digital Dream Sequence
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (Live)
Yello - Toy
Jherek Bischof - Cistern
Frank Zappa - Apostrophe
Jherek Bischof - Composed
Roll The Dice - In Dust
Roll The Dice - Until Silence

Monday again...

Stumbled across Trioscapes, downloaded a few years back now - top notch...

Dark Side of the Moon, the live version, also entertained...

And Yello, yowsah!

Anyway, a walk to Fopp at lunchtime and a selection of discs on the Leaf Label was available for just three of your English pounds...

Jherek Bischoff was partaken of, on the strength of his last LP, "Cistern" which I picked up in promo form in Manchester last December. and which now soundtracked my return journey..

And I took a chance on new-to-me Roll the Dice, re the blurb on the front of the disc...

Both will make my top ten of the month...

Justified...

On the way home, a new wee cat in the neighbourhood, with bell...

Chum JB was looking at the blog today re the departure of chum Margaret a week or so ago - which he'd missed...

He thought it strange that I posted up pictures of loaves of bread...

I am reminded that this diary was set in motion to record how boring the life of someone trying to make music might be...

So here's a cup of coffee and my two new CDs from today...

Communication with Sister Sheila re a visit to mum today advised very alert and that mum's chum Janette had also popped by and buoyed...

Viewing this evening included "Count Arthur Strong", which made a welcome return last week, and the continuing "Loaded" which is great in places, in others seems to drag...

The listening to the new discs led me to download loads more by Roll The Dice, a Swedish electronic music duo which struck a chord with me immediately...

Always good...

Fang popped by this morning...

...and took up his favourite position for a few hours...

...Tiger also made an appearance...

These guys must spend very little time indeed at their own house...

A day of non-achievement really...

In the afternoon, an order fulfilled and then, on to the hospital, soundtracked by 1972...

The view...

Mum progressing but clearly still not right...

A word with the doc and we were advised she has contracted Septicemia, probably via the wounds on her legs re the fall at Easter...

And she is sharing a room with three very strange old ladies...

Weird but my mum is the most "normal" of the four...

Home and some relaxing...

Then some excellent cookery from the EP...

...and the last of "Spin"...

And some listening and some e-mailing sister Sheila with the mum story, per the doc, for full clarification on matters...

Weekend over...

Highlight of the Day : Delicious home-made burger...

David Reilly - Rubinmusik 1977-2017

The view from the office this morning as I uploaded the podcast...

A wee visitor as I opened the window as it was still toooo hot...

Other visitors were also present...

...and new flowers were already drooping in the heat...

Out and to the podiatrist for 8:45...

Home for breakfast...

...outside...

Picked up Dr Prog and headed into town, parking at the West End and walking through the Grassmarket (where this was purchased)...

...and on to Richer Sounds for him to return some faulty headphones without a hitch...

Sustenance beckoned...

The Doc wasn't sure about his brie and pear thing...

...but seemed to get over that after just one bite...

Good chat as ever, agreeing to disagree about The Beatles...

A bus back to the car for me and then a frantic drive to the local Leisure Centre for the gala Day celebrations as Kitty's dance troupe was performing...

She only arrived back from Spain yesterday...

That's her in the far corner with the pink top...

Her chum Ellie's mum was filming for posterity...

Top notch.  Very proud of our talented niece...

Then, to the hospital and, shortly after arriving at the Acute Medical Unit, mum was on the move to a ward...

She seemed better again than yesterday and we left her to drive to her house to pick up a few things...

When we got back, she did seem to be a bit doolally again though - probably the antibiotics wearing off...

Who knows, we're not doctors...

We will be back tomorrow...

Home via the Chinese for "Dr Who"...

And some listening to William Orbit's music selections which were, in the main, "no bad"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the day : Kitty dancing, meet w/Doc Prog, open air breakfast, mum on the mend...
