Call to the hospital first thing - mum now in the Acute Medical Unit for observation and tests - eventually confirmed this is an infection and no strokes involved...

Another scorcher - it reached 30 degrees today...

...which is, of course, tooooooo hot...

This for no reason...

Down the hill and into town...

The beast was about its business...

At lunchtime, a walk along to Fopp...

...and a 3Cd set of Northern Soul procured for £3 as I figured it might be in my top ten of the month...

Home under a still hot sun...

I used to be proud of this flag - now it makes me sick...

Thank you SNP...

Merely a celebration of a child participating in the local Gala Day....

Back home tasty lamb patties and cous cous salad from the EP - yum - and the two Madredeus, Portugal winning the Eurovision Song Contest inspired purchases of CDs by Teresa Salgueiro had arrived...

Those, plus the Northern Soul set, quickly ripped, before I drove over to the hospital...

The route afforded good views of Edinburgh as I waited at temporary traffic lights under the baking sun...

The same view as midnight last night...

As I approached the rear of the infirmary, I noted a tower...

...which I recall viewing from my ward 18 months ago...

As I entered I noted the flagrant disregard of ill people for the rules regarding smoking...

In and mum located and doing well...

Good chat and took and sent a video to sister Sheila, now up in Montrose...

Stopped again by the lights on the way home...

...and noted around 60 cars waiting to come the other way...

A mental note made not to use this route tomorrow...

Back home as the sun went down on a very hot day....

"New Girl" enjoyed, as were the new purchases....

A better day...

Highlight of the Day : Mum on the mend...
