March gone...

Marching on...

To the store to procure rolls and milk...

Back home, post breakfast, Anne gardened and I musicked, playing 26 songs all told...

In the afternoon, to my mum's - the descendants of the starlings who nested above my boxroom continue to next above my boxroom...

Sister Sheila brought some cakes for Mothers' Day - while we both provided large boxes of chocolates...

Mum likes cakes...

She also likes chocolates...

Home and a new project started - to convert my old recordings from mini-disc to digital WAV files (having almost 20 years ago transformed them from cassette to mini disc)...

There is likely to be little interest in this, other than from me but, perhaps one day, my entire discography (258 releases since 1977 and counting) will be up on the Bandcamp...

Later on, the first in the new series of "Line of Duty" was "up to the usual standards" as we in the music business say...

Lights out on another weekend...

Despite last night's shenanigan's up early...

A classical podcast uploaded - at one point in the coming days, I will have three podcasts in the classical top 100 on Mixcloud...

Given the listening stats, this is just a bit weird but who am I to argue...

People on the Twitter were commenting on my Trojan box sets collection so, a picture posted...

Out for breakfast with Anne to a new spot, The Haven, down by the river...

Very tasty scrambled egg/eggy bread - both with bacon - and good coffee too...

Back home and the Eclectic Selection podcast links recorded, the programme put together and released into the world...

Over to Anne's mum's...

...for the two ladies to head to Tyncastle to watch Hearts play dreadfully in the first half, go behind, yet pull it out of the bag in the second, with a much needed win over Aberdeen, 2-1...

Queens were unexpectedly winning by the same margin at Dundee Utd...

Meanwhile, I was taking a look around the shops in Corstorphine and acquired this little beauty for 50p...

Back home, rehearsing the covers set - meaning I didn't find out today's scores till post final whistle and was surprised by both...

Back over to Anne's mum's...

...where we picked up and took home some tasty Chinese fayre...

We caught up slightly with "Deutschland '86", frankly just wishing the action would move totally back to Deutschland but there you go...

It is indeed covering an aspect of recent German history of which we were not aware...

A good Saturday over...

A welcome wee visitor this morning in the shape of Fang the Black Cat...

This evening, the end of the quarter and some celebrations were undertaken...

...with chums Matty, Bernardo, CK, Gaz, The G Man and Prog Rock Willie...

Chum from last year, young Struan also visited with his "brother" the wee dog, whose name I do not know...

Mr Wheelie Bin, JK and Robbie were also in attendance briefly but went unpictured...

Around 6, with attendee levels fallen to 10, pizzas were required, pizzas were ordered, pizzas were collected...

...and pizzas were eaten - also pictured now Gillian, Wendy and Josh...

Not much was left a few minutes later...

There was chatting and drinking...

..and soon, the effects of said drinking kicked in with some singing...

...and selfie taking...

Eventually, dancing (of sorts) was added to the menu...

...as DJ Gillian took over the "decks"...

Your correspondent headed out into the night around 10:45, almost 7 hours into festivities which, by all accounts, stretched well into the early hours...

With 10 minutes to go till my normal bus, I got one going in the general direction but, of course was so engrossed in my Twitter feed that I ended up in the middle of nowhere...

Luckily, shortly afterwards, I was Executively Produced back to Crispycat Towers in the Cloudland Blue mobile, only very slightly the worse for wear...

A good night...

Some music from the old iPad, in the kitchen, whilst breakfasting...

A tasty lunch today with Gina G as she will not be able to attend end of Quarter festivities tomorrow...

It just so happens that both of us cite Spaghetti Bolognese (aka Spag Bog) as our fave Italian dish...

These, then, enjoyed at Quattro Zero...

Yum...

Back home, post having started watching "Warhammer" which was so preposterous it was stopped around 30 minutes in and deleted, some prep for tomorrow, along with the initial compilation of this week's podcast...

Anne was out this evening with Lynn, coincidentally, enjoying Italian cuisine at a restaurant next door to Quattro...

On her late return, we enjoyed the very last "Still Game"...

I found the closing scenes to be quite poignant, even thought the rest of the episode was just one of your normal "Still Game" story lines...

End of an era...

Highlight of the Day : Spag Bog...

Wednesday is a bit of a blank - it may be that it was actually this evening that the Mexican delights were enjoyed?

Along with "The Goldbergs" on TV...

Certainly, it seems nothing of much import happened...

This arrived - nothing hugely jumping out...

I recall being up and into town very early, for various meetings throughout the day and my camera reminds me of the receipt this early Easter present from a mentoree...

...which was, of course, duly scoffed in the late afternoon...

Yes, I think it was indeed Mexican for tea, which means the Sea Bass was yesterday...

Oh well...

It's all good...
