Up early and still feeling the worse for wear...

The internet was down...

Caught up with The Twitter on my phone...

Re-set up my amp in the back room following its use at yesterday's party...

Sorted...

Tiger visited and helped as I selected the tracklisting for this week's podcast - a little behind schedule...

Breakfast at home - pouring rain outside...

We watched "Big Bang", "Brooklyn 99" and "New Girl" from this week - all top notch as usual..

Then, started to catch up with French political thriller, "Spin"...

In the afternoon, recorded the podcast and, in a brief spell where the internet as up, uploaded it into the void...

In the evening, a tasty Chinese - I collected, my first venture forth of the day...

"Dr Who" very much entertained, probably the best so far this series...

Steven Moffat writing...

Visits once again from Tiger and Fang as we continued with "Spin", your correspondent continually having to be nudged awake...

The cats know on which side their bread is buttered...

To bed after a slow, relaxing day...

Highlight of the Day : Podcasting...

Cloudland Blue Quartet - Soundingfall
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Doveloveshawk
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Twentyseventeen

And so today, I said goodbye to my kind of right hand lady of almost the last 20 years, Margaret...

A bit of a do at the Man's...

All were gathered awaiting the entry...

...to a fairly badly kept secret...

Your correspondent attempted to condense 20 years into five minutes in his speech...

...and then, the carousing began...

Margaret is going to be doing some babysitting...

Chums from beyond the environs of The Man were also in attendance...

I attempted to record attendees...

Hugo and Gursharn...

...but some were reluctant...

Marta and Colette...

...and, while some appeared enthusiastic...

Gavin and Barry...

...true feelings were also revealed,,.

Yuill and Spike...

Mark and (Prog Rock) Willie...

Alan and your correspondent...

Gary, Kris and Keith...

Margaret and her family...

An excellent do...

Margaret also enjoyed the slide show I'd prepared...

..and the presence of the next two generations...

..and shrugged off the wearing of the same top by chum Christine...

Later, some remained not keen to be recorded...

...and the drink was flowing...

Your correspondent with Helena and Marta...

Young Ellie liked Mr CBQ's attempt at a handshake...

Eventually, my work on the music was appreciated - granted rather a lot of liquid had had to be imbibed...

So much so that, four hours in, new supplies had to be secured...

Late on, the last few stragglers tried to ensure none of the very tasty catering went to waste...

...and partners arrived to take people home...

By this time, Margaret was long gone...

End of an era indeed...

...but an excellent send off...

Home, chauffeured by the EP...

Worse for wear...

Prowess of a culinary nature...

Playlist
Various - A History of the Single 1959-2017
Madredeus - A Nova Aurora
Madredeus - Capricho Sentimental

The views from the office this morning...

A walk to Stockbridge this lunchtime...

In line with my new pledge to myself of only buying CDs which might make my Top Ten of the Month, I forewent these two which, previously, I would have purchased without thinking at just £1 each...

Home in the sun...

...to an excellent dinner from the EP, including pomegranate...

Fang is becoming a regular...

...but had to be put out as we headed over to my mum's to install her new phones...

The tuition was, shall we say, frustrating, to say the least...

Not to worry...

Sunset in Loanhead...

...and home to another visitor...

...and final work on the music for tomorrow...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Anne's culinary prowess...
