Up early and waiting for Anne to waken...

Updating this and compiling another wee present for the Exec Producer

And then, it was, of course, Xmas Day...

I received some lovely swag - CDs, architecture book, sexy trousers, cufflinks w/guitars and chocolate money...

Since 1973, I've received quite a lot of music as Xmas presents...

Anne also got some things she (hopefully) likes...

Almost inevitably, wee Tiger popped by...

It poured with rain all day...

Out to my mum's around 1...

Around 2, Senior...

...and Sister Sheila arrived...

..and fun was had...

We left them to their imminent Xmas dinner and headed to Jane and Bobby's...

Small gifts were exchanged including much home made stuff...

Kitty was dressed up for the occasion...

...as was Olly, Xmas jumper wise...

Jane was a happy bunny...

...and much admiring commenced...

Tasty...

Dr Who-y...

Gin-y...

Hearts and, in general, football-y

The family calendar for Mary went down well...

Time for dinner...

As ever, a wonderful spread from Bobby and Jane...

Starters, including home made pickled cauliflower from Bob and a guest pate from Keith...

Crackers were pulled and charades undertaken...

Kitty got to wear my glasses...

...and show off her splendid nails...

Main course, beef wellington...

Superb...

And two sweets, roulade...

..and the biggest trifle I've ever seen...

More games...

...which involved brain wracking from Jane...

In the end though, your correspondent won by just 1 point - and, amazingly, without cheating but Kitty, Jane and Olly were all close behind...

Cheeseboard and coffee...

...and sweets...

...and relaxing...

...before heading out into the rain, eschewing the car for a bus re red wine intake and home to watch "Dr Who" become a woman on the Tivo...

A good day indeed...

Highlight of the Day : It was Xmas...
