Last day of November...

...and up early to finish off the podcast...

...and keep this up to date...

On Anne emerging, out into the cold, for breakfast provisions...

...including duck eggs...

Then, while Anne painted...

...I ran through the proposed set of 12 CBQ songs from across two decades which, tomorrow, the band will start to learn...

Setlist
This Is All There Is (1997)
A Nice Job In A Small Town (1999)
Twenty Twenty Vision (2001)
I Rearranged The House (2003)
Skylines Full Of Cranes (2003)
The Crocodile Song (2004)
The End of Everything (2005)
Blend (2009)
Splinterheart (2010)
Everything Will Be Alright (2012)
If I Fall (2012)
Underground Like Doug McClure (2017)

Various errors in the song sheets were sorted...

Meanwhile, in the garden, the feeding station...

...was replenished by Anne in a break from painting...

...and soon attracted an energetic squirrel...

Started compiling a new playlist of one track each from my recent album a month for every month I've been alive collection...

Which was nice - of course for the early years, before I actually listened to music (apart from a handful of tracks I can remember hearing in the early 60s) it's mostly pretty far out jazz...

But nothing wrong with that...

At around 2:30, post lunch, out...

...and over to my mum's for a visit...

Shopping was also carried out for the 89 year old lady...

And, while we visited, Queens went one up within 30 mins, away at Dundee, via a Stephen Dobbie goal...

But, in 90+2 minutes, Dundee equalised...

However, straight from the kick off, Sir Stephen Dobbie scored the winner in 90+3 minutes...

What a player that man is...

This the scene as we left mum's...

Bitterly cold...

Tonight, Chinese food for tea and "Strictly", followed by more listening to the originals of the CBQ set and uploading those tracks for the boys to download and play along to at their end...

At 9, two episodes of "The Sinner" - which has some extremely weird undertones but is very enjoyable...

To bed around midnight...

Highlight of the Day : Stephen Dobbie's winner against Dundee...

25 June versus this morning...

Out a little later than yesterday...

The views from the hill this morning...

A comeback from drummer Johnny - he is up for being a CBQ-ist...

Later, a comeback from keyboardist Paul - he is up for being a CBQ-ist...

Later still, a comeback from guitarist Stu - he is up for being a CBQ-ist...

It seems the Cloudland Blue Quartet is a quartet...

Still to hear from bassist Keith - which is always the way...

Let's see how this goes...

Me, Johnny and Stu will kick things off on Sunday afternoon...

A trip to Fopp at lunchtime but nothing enticed...

The view, literally, from the office this evening...

The beast made its way home through the very cold early evening...

The views from outside the office this evening...

Healthy style fish and chips for tea...

Much heat but very little light from a seven way TV debate which I gave up on around half way through and did something more productive instead - recording the links for the podcast, then edited them...

At 9, a strangely lacklustre "Have I Got News For You"...

Back upstairs to commence the recording of the podcast...

At 11, nephew Craig on TV, on the last of this year's "A View From the Terrace"...

To bed just after midnight, with some work on the podcast still to be done tomorrow morning...

Another day of much listening...

Out into the dark...

Here is the Exec Producer driving past me...

Every time she does so, the car connects to the Bluetooth on my phone and knocks out my music...

Hmmm...

Downwards...

The view from the bus stop this morning...

Down...

Up...

At lunchtime, a walk down to Stockbridge for a trawl...

After picking up Dory Previn at Shelter, followed by the drawing of several blanks, I hit pay dirt at the BHF, where someone appeared to have offloaded a tasty collection of funky compilations...

The beast was about its business...

Back home, some ripping and listening with a brief visit to a place designed to keep me on the straight and narrow...

Red Thai Chicken for a late tea followed by the second in a daytime series we watch of an evening called "The Majorca Files" or some such - a bit like "Death in Paradise" but set in the Balearics...

Awaiting word from the Capital Models boys to see if they want to be the Cloudland Blue Quintet re a kind of "greatest hits" set...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Funk finding...

Always remember to save, in footie and uploading...

Moved on to my "History of the Single"...

At lunchtime, out with chums Spike, Baz, Raymondo, Wenders and Gillian...

To Tattu...

The food was top notch...

Your correspondent went veggie with Tofu and Chili Sauce to start...

...Vegetarian Chicken with veg and sweet potato as a main...

...and a couple of blobs of ice cream to round things off...

The bathrooms were salubrious...

Spike & Gillian went for a rather more convoluted desert involving a chocolate egg in a brandy basket...

...while Wendy took the dry ice and candy floss option...

...which certainly proved interesting...

Home and a quick turnaround and back to the indoor footie...

Six a side tonight and a very close game indeed, during which I got a few of my old touches back and actually scored a couple of goals but we still lost 14-13 - the winning goal down to a horrendous kick out from your, goal-keeping at that point, correspondent...

Still, with two 60 year olds in our team I thought we did pretty well - indeed the only time the opposition were in the lead was when they scored their final goal...

...which was of little consolation stats-wise as, since my return in August, I've now played five, won none, drawn one, lost four...

But it was great fun...

Later, the beast was about its business continuing to upload the new CBQ album to Bandcamp...

On a couple of tracks failing, I closed it down, not realising around 8 of the tracks I'd successfully uploaded had yet to be properly saved...

Something I'd find out tomorrow morning at 4:43 when I went to start uploading again and was set back several hours in the long laborious process...

Aaargh!

Highlight of the Day : Hmmm, Chinese cuisine or footie?  Footie just shades it...
