September gone - 2017 is flashing past...

Out early to Helen the Podiatrist, where the forgetting of a PIN seemed to signal onset of something not good - but, it turned out to be a case of sausage fingers, as confirmed later at the bank...

These the views as we went from the car thereto...

...and back...

On, to Easter Rd for a dental appointment for the EP - your correspondent made three purchases for £2 in nearby Heart and Cat charity shops...

Then, a tasty breakfast at a wee Italian place...

Back home briefly and then over to my mum's to pick her up and take her to Paisley for a long postponed due to being hospitalised visit to her old chum Pat...

A lovely day...

We left the ladies to chat and took a train into Glasgow...

With Anne off shopping for things she likes, I was soon approaching Otago Lane...

...where a further 17 discs were procured for just £17, making it 20 in all for the day at just £19 the lot - a good haul - including a goodly number of promos from both the Rune Grammafon and Hubra labels...

Back to the subway under threatening skies...

...meeting the EP again - after a quick look in Fopp (no more purchases), the train back to Paisley - checking the scores, we found Hearts had been beaten by a last minute goal at Dundee, while Queens were leaving Inverness with a point in the bag after a goalless draw which they appear to have dominated...

Another two points dropped then...

Back to Pat's...

...where an excellent tea was followed by mum trying out a Russian zimmer, which once assisted the 12 years gone gadget man, Pat's husband Charlie...

We left around 8:30 and had mum home around 9:45...

A drive home and the ripping commenced as Anne caught up with Strictly...

Tiger visited again tonight and decided to stay, sleeping for a good while on his brotehr Fang's dining room chair...

Eventually, the wee man had to be escorted out the window and into the night...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : New music purchases...

Those unwilling to put in the effort are often first to criticise...

Final prep for a gathering and said gathering undertaken today...

My work on the music rather underappreciated but was fun to do nonetheless...

My selection comprised hit singles from each September from 1959 to now...

This was due to my call for requests re the music elicited not a single response from potential attendees...

Those non-responders were, however, quite happy to moan about the music...

Eventually though, no one could hear it anyway and the beer and pizza were good...

As was the Emergency Questions game...

Due to driving duties tomorrow, I was home before 8 and not the worse for wear...

A visit from Tiger...

...some Dreamies enjoyed and then, off he went...

Bye tiger, you wee mercenary...

Highlight of the Day : Beer and pizza...

This, on the way to the gate this morning...

Fair enough Mr Spider...

Other than that, nothing much to report - podcast completed for another week and being listened back to...

On telly this evening, "Question Time" and "This Week"...

So tired of politics...

But, hey ho...

So many idiots around...

Highlight of the Day : A spider - yes it's come to that...

A morning and lunch spent with two young ladies to whom I like to listen these days...

A walk to Stockbridge instigated no purchases...

In the afternoon, a playback of the live set recorded a few weeks ago now...

The time away gives perspective and some of the performances are actually ok...

On the way home, further revisiting, this time of the upcoming 40 year collection...

Views from the office in the late afternoon...

...as more walking was undertaken...

This evening, recording what is to all intents and purposes a four hour DJ set for a cheeky wee party coming up on Friday...

Late on "Holby City" was top notch...

That was it, I think...

Highlight of the Day : Reacquainting myself...

Not exactly swift on the uptake...

Playlist
Cloudland Blue Quartet - Disquietmusik
Various - The Shelf on Shuffleplay
Taylor Swift - 1989

Out early, noting these at the back door...

The EP keeps a good home...

No rain outside but the remnants of an in the night downpour remained in the garden...

For the first time in a while, down the big hill to the zoo...

An 8 minute bus ride to Wester Coates then, further on foot, taking the walking time to a respectable 42 minutes...

More walking at lunchtime, to Fopp and a Taylor Swift purchase following last night's Youtube viewing...

More walking on the way home...

How has it taken me three years to realise that this is perfect pop?

A Twitter chum asked if the cut off Eno was an intentional reference to the cut off Taylor...

Yes, I'd like to say it was...

But it was chance...

Monday night TV is tops at present with "University Challenge" (85 points), "Upstart Crow" and "W1A"...

So it was Taylor Swift and TV tonight...

Highlight of the Day : Ms Swift...

Listening to the full two hours of the proposed new LP this morning...

Some tweaking required...

The design of this updated to reflect the upcoming release...

Also added my Twitter feed to proceedings

Checking through the links to other sites (see right bar), I stumbled across seven unreleased jams by Brian Eno from 2010, issued on Youtube etc in support of his then new LP, "Small Craft on a Milk Sea"...

The view from the office this morning...

The new speaker was utilised to soundtrack breakfast making...

The squirrel enjoyed her breakfast too...

...before scooting off...

The speaker played on...

Tiger visited and watched, miaowing while Anne replenished the feeding station post squirrel...

I dipped into my Documenta books...

A run through the proposed CBQ live setlist this afternoon, while Anne made pakoras...

To Jane and Bob's (with said pakoras)...

My home town team, St Mirren, thumped Qqueens 3-1 live on TV...

Oh well - it's only a game...

An excellent family tea ensued...

Anne's Pakora's...

Bob (and Jane)'s chicken curry...

Jane's croissant and butter pudding...

All very much enjoyed...

At 6:40, we had to leave...

...to pick up Lynn...

I took the ladies to the Festival theatre for some tap dancing shenanigans before driving home, listening to Sparks and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, amending the design of the CBQ Bandcamp page, to reflect the imminent new LP, and bringing this up to date; and watching and enjoying some Taylor Swift videos......

And now, the CBQ taxi just been called by a returning Exec Producer...

Off into the night...

On our return, a visit from Tiger...

Out the window at gone midnight for the wee man...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day ; Family tea...
