Up pre 6am to finish off the podcast and upload it to the world/the void...

Then, possible formalisation of the new CBQ LP for 2017, "Disquietmusik"...

At present it will be a two hour 2CD set:-

CD One (39:19)
The Crucifixion (1515)  6:00
A Mountainous Wooded Landscape with a Torrent (1655)  6:20
The Immaculate Conception of the Escorial (1678)  6:46
The Uncertainty of the Poet (1913)  6:57
Ambush For Flamingoes (1857)  6:06
Composition (1929)  7:13

Which are the six new guitarscapes recorded in July...

CD Two (77:30)
Birdsong 5 am, 2017-03-25  8:35
Judge Not The Errors, Rather How They Are Rectified  13:48
The Drone Effect 2016  20:10
Landscapes 2016  20:07
Tigris, Birds and Radio  8:29
I Have Lost My Spark (And No-One Listens Anyway)  6:24

Which comprises some very early morning birds around Crispycat Towers back in March; a further improv guitarscape from May 2016; 40th anniversary re-imaginings, also from 2016, of 1977 compositions "The Drone Effect" and "Landscapes"; and the two new pieces recorded in April re slow but ongoing collaborations with Chris Andreas and Edward Spark respectively...

So, ten left field/ambient/noisy pieces and a song...

Sounds like another hit for Mr CBQ!

During the course of the day, following a mail from Creek chum Stu Cobley advising he's been rehearsing the covers Johnny Weizen, Keith Apter and I have been working on, I too played through all the songs during the course of the day...

Meanwhile, back in the real world, pakoras are in the offing tomorrow...

For now, scrambled eggs on toast - with a smidgen of ketchup...

A discussion - as ever - on the Twitter as to how I file my CDs...

These were said to be in the wrong order...

But, if laid flat, they give you this...

This is said to be the correct filing method....

...which, when laid flat, gives you this...

So who is the real idiot?

According to the Exec Producer it's me...

But she advises, as long as I'm happy, that's fine...

I'll just never get a job in a library...

Later on, discovered my wee portable speaker is goosed due to possible improper use by a fellow boarder at Wanlockhead...

Oh well...

This much better one purchased today...

...on our way to Loanhead for a family gathering with Mum, sister Sheila, her two boys Andy and Ali, their partners Tori and Julie and Andy and Tori's two boys Kerr and Wee Dougie...

...which involved a possibly inappropriately large Chinese takeaway order, which was collected by your correspondent, Andy, Ali and Kerr...

On the way back, these were spotted...

...and this rather exuberant puppy also entertained....

A slap up meal ensued followed by chat and mucking about with the newest member of the family...

My mum looked on with wee Dougie and the original Dougie in the background...

The wee man doesn't look too sure...

Sheila lined us up for a family photo...

...the results of which no doubt will be revealed in the fullness of time...

The quality of the pics today is necessarily rather blurry due to fast moving children and adults...

Here, the boys outside my mum's house...

...where their grandmother, grand-uncle and sadly departed grand-aunt once stood, with their great-great grandmother looking on from the window...

Thus the passage of time will have us all eventually...

This evening though, mucking about...

..., home, with some dates in the diary...

Tiger visited for quite a few hours, making himself blurrily comfortable as Anne enjoyed "Strictly The Return" while I mucked about with King Crimson and the new speaker upstairs...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Family stuff...
