To "work" early...

The views...

Listening to a few wee things re inspiration..

Then, today's classical piece was Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" - not a big fan of Gershwin - in fact I might even say I don't like Gershwin - but this was ok...

Today's random LP was better...

A US comp comprising “Nursery Cryme” and “Foxtrot”...

So, yes, it probably actually is the best of Genesis...

Although this was disputed by Nashville Chris and so a list was produced, thus, which would actually have to be an, at least, 4hr, 5LP set...

Meanwhile, I was initially fo(trott)ed with it being one of those A/D, B/C set ups for auto change record players...

Later, a visit from Fang...

..and, later still, the delivery I've been waiting on for quite a while - the new shelves...

This one of the five that arrived looked a little suspicious...

All the bits were there...

But none of the items required to actually hold it all together was in the box...

To say I was annoyed would be putting it mildly...

However, on her return from her trip for weekly provisions, the Exec Producer put things into perspective and reminded me we are heading to Ikea tomorrow in any case, to try and source frames for her paintings and, indeed, another couple of these sets of shelves...

So, you know. "calm down big man"...

So I got to work on the four sets which were delivered with all parts intact...

First two done in around 50 minutes...

..and soon festooned with box sets...

...leaving the boxes of CDs still to be housed...

A break for tea and, of course, "Holby City"...

Then, more work...

And the first of a further five was in place in under 25 minutes, as I got a wee system going...

Last one for today...

Up...

The new view, so far...

Late on, I was asked if I'd had the firmware update for my Ssk watch...

Here is the rather large, fleshy firmware...

This afternoon's and tonight's listening had comprised these beauties on the CD player...

A good day despite the lack of one set of fixings...

Highlight of the Day : New shelves...
