July has gone the way of all months.  This one was the fifth weird month in a row...

Friday and up early, with loads to do today...

The views from the office this morning...

Today's classical piece was Rodgrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez"...

...and the random LP was this from Summers and Fripp...

Recorded just as King Crimson's "comeback" album “Discipline” was being released....

An excellent record of interlocking guitars and tasty soundscapes....

Crimsonesque in fact...

All of that pre breakfast...

...as, post breakfast, we were off to that Glasgow...

...but not before having to pop back to the tyre emporium re a message on the dashboard...

Soon though, we were at nephew Olly's University digs...

...which have not yet had a chance to be ruined by student life...

..although we did spot a rogue Buckie bottle...

Good views...

The boy in his new habitat...

We took him for brunch round the corner

...where he demonstrated he still has a little to learn about the actual economics of an Independent Scotland...

Oh how we laughed...

Saying our goodbyes and silently promising never to discuss Scottish politics again, we drove to the town centre, parked and did some shopping...

A couple of things for me in the HMV sale for a fiver each...

 and then, to Missing...

...where a further seven items entered the collection...

...for just fourteen of your pounds sterling...

Then, with Anne having bought some stuff she likes, time for some refreshments in the sun...

...and a walk around the Tron environs...

...including an ice cream from the place Dr Prog and I visited when attending the Tangerine Dream concert in March 2019 - including a requested retelling for Anne of the tale of Paul and Linda McCartney stopping there for fish and chips in 1973...

The drive home went quickly and it was soon time to rip and listen to the new acquisitions, including this which had arrived in the post...

Eagle-eyed readers may recall I bought this just a few weeks ago (2 May) - although today's copy appears to be brand new (and remains in its wrapper) while the previous acquisition was a little beaten up...

Anyway, today's haul...

But, prior to that, frames had arrived for Anne's paintings...

Soon, Berchtesgaden was in place...

Then, another was chosen...

...and also hung...

Excellent...

Meanwhile, triple squirrel visit...

A new painting has been started of course...

And, by close of play, Berchtesgaden was moved slightly...

A very good day...

Highlight of the Day : Trip to Glasgow and artworks up...
