Sparks - Terminal Jive

Today was an overcast and wet Thursday but, once again, it's now Tuesday before I'm getting round to writing this...

Anyway, up, as ever, early...

Surreptitious views...

...soundtracked by the likely line up for this week's podcast...

...and then, straight into today's classical piece, Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite"- best known to me as the walk on music for the band, Yes...

Then, in the post, this two CD set of lovely music arrived - much of the first disc, apart from a few tunes by Henry VIII, is anonymous...

Outside - what's this?

My wee squirrel friend...

...hiding from local cat Sid, who was enjoying the children's slide..

Later still, another delivery...

Art books...

Richter..

...the Tate in general...

...Nicholson...

...and an Art Mug - all sourced from Tate Modern, in that London; and delivered to my door...

Let's say these are a belated birthday present from my mum, now that she's out of hospital...

Today's random LP of the day was Sparks' follow up to "Number One in Heaven"...

..."Terminal Jive"...

Once again with Giorgio Moroder...

However, a more conventional sound made for a less exciting proposition...

Still good though, as it's Sparks...

After tea, a visit from the local fox...

...who definitely found something tasty under a neighbor's bush...

Coffee was enjoyed from the new mug...

..as I listened to the OST of "Shutter Island"...

...and perused the new books...

As the sun went down, the moon came up...

...and another Thursday was gone...

Highlight of the Day : New stuff...
