The sun was, indeed, up...

...which facilitated shadows of the beast on its vinyl collection...

Since WFH started, I've acquired 77 CDs - of which 72 are classical...

This morning's listening (for 5.5 hours) was the iPod Classic - which holds all my CD acquisitions back to March 2017...

A breakfast today of toast and jam...

Apart from the Daily Random LP & the next in the 100 Classical Pieces project, today’s listening was to be shuffled from the 17,237 as yet unlistened to tracks from CDs acquired since March 2017...

 Yes, it is perfectly normal to wait for 40 months before listening to a new CD*...

*No it isn't

A visit from Fang - I put some Dreamies out on the kitchen floor and then popped to get my camera for a pic - by the time I got back he'd scoffed the goodies and was back outside...

Managed to regain his attention briefly...

Today's record of the day was Simon Dupree and the Big Sound - the three Shulman brothers from the band went on to form Gentle Giant...

Elton John was their stand in keyboard player on a Scottish tour...

Imagine - Elton John might have been in Gentle Giant...

The classical piece of the day was Debussy's "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" - from this CD, which is mainly tomorrow's piece - which won't be played from this disc...

Meanwhile, Anne was out most of th day walking over the Pentlands with chum Teresa...

Post that, sore legs apparently...

On telly at 9, the first of a documentary series on Beethoven, led me to play some of his music and the version of a movement from one of his late string quartets - which was a track on my 1999 LP "Betonmusik"...

So there you go...
