Up with plenty of time to do the podcast...

Views...

But it took 50 minutes to edit last night's wittering before I could get started...

The sky outside the room...

5:30...

5:59...

7:25...

9:05...

Done...

Laborious but enjoyable...

Today's classical piece. the 66th, was Mahler's 1st Symphony...

...which I didn't get round to listening to until tomorrow morning...

The trawling of the Twitter led to the downloading of some recent prog-type stuff - which, in the main, for me , is not prog but very good and, indeed, interesting, rock...

Then, breakfast, including tasty mushrooms...

...and the radio...

Out and uptown and, for the first time in 15 weeks and two days, I was to be found at Fopp...

...where some judicious but completely unnecessary purchases were made...

Lunch was frites with jalapenos and a cheese sauce, eaten in the open outside the Usher Hall, accompanied by two hopeful but, ultimately, unsuccessful seagulls...

A walk around but nothing much to see - pretty depressing all round what with the weather and the hoops you now have to go through to look at stuff in a shop...

I fear the "high street" is doomed...

Back home, the strawberries were coming along - we had one each this afternoon...

Triumphantly tasty...

Listened to the best of the Jazz Crusaders (see below) as a precursor to listening and ripping the new stuff...

Along with one of this morning's downloads...

I had soon drifted off as Anne painted...

Then, upon awakening and getting my second wind, to listening and ripping re the new acquisitions...

I have three of these 8 LPs already but these recordings are of a much better quality...

Some excellent funky stuff on this 2 CD set and enlightening sleeve notes too...

...and the latest from Steve Harley - an acoustic set of covers (including two originals) which is, on the whole, pretty good with a couple of not quite so good things - such is the nature of the beast though - overall, very worthwhile...

Late afternoon, we enjoyed "Guardians of the Galaxy 2"...

Today's random LP was this from 1987 - an Asia LP in all but name really and very good in a shiny adult poppy kind of way - no doubt extremely disappointing at the time to Manzanera fans...

That was preceded by another episode of "Vera" with the intro of a couple of new sidekicks...

A reasonable Saturday ended early as I fell asleep again, listening to new acquisitions and was ushered off to bed at barely gone 11...

Highlight of the Day : Back at Fopp...
