Up and, on updating this, ended up instead looking back...

Discovered that, on this day 15 years ago, I started work on this 20CD box of prog rock...

...which took me down a prog rabbit hole...

Also on looking back, I was reminded that today is chum Gina's birthday - sent her a WhatsApp and she advised that she, like me, would be having pasta for lunch...

Also, a thing, posting the covers of 20 books with no explanation...

I did not post any but, in prepping to do so, only managed to pull together these nine...

Anne was out on mum's flat duty with Jane so cooked my own lunch...

...while protecting the cooker from splashes following criticism last week...

Despite the inclusion of creme fraiche...

...this was nowhere near as tasty as it looks...

In the afternoon, after finally finishing off pulling together the 122 Capital Models tracks re the project worked on yesterday, I then constructed a collection of the three proposed setlists and issued it to the boys in the band to rehearse along to, before running through the first to on my own...

No singing, just playing...

At 6:30, taking stuff from Anne's mum's to the dump..

Back home, Fang popped by...

He wanted some Dreamies...

Post that, he couldn't decide if...

...he wanted to be outside...

...or back inside...

Eventually, he found a spot for a couple of hours...

He was not distracted from his relaxing by our salmon...

France v Spain was watched - like their match with Germany, Spain's defeat of France would have been worthy of the final...

However, Spain will now face the Netherlands or England on Sunday...

Soundtracking came from, amongst other things (including my LP from 2003, while I read a couple of short stories by Ernest Hemmingway from the book pictured above, on one of which, the lyric for the track "Perfectly Simple" is based), these two new acquisitions...

A return to form for Sault...

...and new to me Post Rock from Porous...

"Gravity" ended the day...

I'd seen it before and it is, of course, utter nonsense that (spoiler) the main character survives...

Sandra Bullock was paid $20m to appear and also received $50m as a cut of the profits - all in all, she made around $70m from that one film...

I wonder what she does with it all...

Highlight of the Day : Rehearsing...
