Start of a busy weekend...

Compiling the list of tracks for this weekend's podcast...

Will I get it out before Wednesday?

Probably not...

Anyway, scenes...

To Malcolm's at 11 to rehearse the three songs we are planning to play as Crazy Wisdom at Out of the Bedroom of Thursday, "Ocean", "Nineteen Sixty Something" and "Nothing Lasts Forever"...

A two hour session re a 9 minute set of three songs...

Hey, that's music...

Gave Malcolm a lift to his mum's, then grabbed lunch and visited the BHF out at Craigmillar, where some "bargains" were picked up (including two Kelly Clarkson CDs I already have, luckily for 33p each though)...

Anyway, home for ripping and listening...

The three Thomas Wilson seem to be private pressings from the composer and are a top find - one of the UK's unsung contemporary classical heroes...

Turns out I have one of his string quartets on a disc by the Edinburgh Quartet from a couple of years back...

I cannot find this one listed anywhere either - seems to have been given away by Pakistan International Airlines...

And there is the odd good track on the 5CDs in here...

This evening, England struggled once again - this time going behind to Switzerland but pulling level and forcing extra time which, almost inevitably ended in penalties the first of which from the Swiss was saved and so England are in the semi-final, facing the Netherlands who came from behind to beat Turkey 2-1...

And so...

Come on The Netherlands!!

Tasty kebabs from the local butcher for tea...

As I was putting the car in the garage later on, these wee fellows were noted...

...and one final accidental pic pre bed summed up my feelings on the absolute jamminess of the England football team...

Oh well...

Highlight of the Day: Rehearsing with Malcolm...
