Gig day...

Ready to roll...

...which meant the back room, to the tunes of Jacques Loussier, was comparatively tidy...

Out and uptown, looking to secure a present for Jorg and Manu, who we will see next Friday...

Car to the office and a walk up to the Royal Mile via the Farmers' Market...

Present secured (whiskey glasses) and a split as Anne went off to find a new hat while I made my way up the Royal Mile...

...down Victoria Street, through the Grassmarket and to the Art College...

...to the Record Fair...

Now, this may well seem like an "Uh-oh" scenario but the entire content of the bag, around 29 hours of music, spread across 14 titles (27 discs), was just £10...

Back down to George St to meet up...

...for lunch at Cafe Centro...

Top notch...

Back to the car...

...and home...

All going swimmingly and then - I bashed into the kerb as I parked and caused a puncture...

Down quickly to Tom Farmer - 90 minutes until I was supposed to leave for the venue with all the equipment...

The young man reckoned 60-90 mins...

And then, a snag...

Arnold Clark, back in November during the car service, had not replaced a tool into the boot - a tool required to remove the wheel...

It looks something like this but is not this...

Kieran, for it was he, had to use a workaround, which had a 50% chance of success - i.e. it would either work or it wouldn't...

Thankfully, it worked but Arnold Clark are in for a bollocking (Kieran advised that happens all the time with Arnold Clark cars)...

Home with 15 minutes to spare till exit time..

Plaster applied as my wound was too horrible to look at...

System shut down...

And off, arriving just before 5 for the load in...

...and set up...

Soundcheck went surprisingly well and we were ready by 6:20...

Paul...

Me...

John B...

John W...

Keith...

We were in strange company...

And now, the waiting around...

The stage was set...

...and on we went at 8:30...

The monitors cut out after a couple of songs...

The sound out front though was, apparently, perfect...

Which was the main thing...

Turned out to be a dodgy lead, which we managed to fix before set 3...

Loadsa dancing and carousing and a good night - our three "Slosh" numbers went down well - however, the club has misjudged our required end time, by which point only a few of our own stalwart fans remained, as we played our final couple of numbers...

Needs to be addressed methinks...

Take down took around 30 mins and we were home by 1, where the bandage was removed...

Very sore...
