Today's choice is a disc I've had for a very long time - my first of the music of Peteris Vasks
Four very engaging pieces...
Very tuneful in places, very complex and challenging in others...
Contemporary classical at its best...
And Wergo is a favourite label of mine for modern classical music...
Decided to get cracking with the reintegration/refiling of the CDs - staring with "rock & pop" - which, necessarily, also contains "funk & soul" and reggae...
Firstly, rehousing plastic sleeved items and cardboard sleeved items - their new home will need to be relocated to a new home...
The whole thing is a large job...
I "need" to reintegrate (a) Digipaks and (b) doublers and (c) all the CDs I pulled out which used to comprise the stock of my Amazon shop - all back into the overall A-Z...
Of course Fang paid a visit to break things up a little...
...and, post her Zumba, there was lunch and TV with Anne...
Two "Silent Witness" watched...
Convoluted but, in the end, pretty good...
Then, back to "work"...
...until teatime - Beef brisket, chips and peas...
Like a steak pie without the pie part...
Our last picture of Luna for this visit - she has been pretty well-behaved, all told and we will miss her...
Gillian and Ollie arrived just before 8 to pick her up and take her home...
With tales of their trip to Florida - Gillian's parents will only be flying back tonight as her dad somehow lost his passport - but didn't realise until he was in the queue for passport control!
That was after he'd also lost at least 3 room keycard during their stay - and his phone...
Worryingly, he is only a couple of months older than me...
Anyway...
Just the two of us on the sofa tonight for 4 episodes of "Chicago PD"...
Then, some ripping of classical and jazz CDs inherited from my dad's collection on the death of my mum....
And ended the day with Champions League highlights...
