Playlist
Started the day with a wee list of things to do...
Listen to the new releases brought in yesterday...
Record the podcast a day early due to tomorrow's band session...
Record "Dissolution VI"...
Rehearse for tomorrow's band session...
Write up the last two days of this...
Rip all the new CDs purchased yesterday...
Etc. etc...
Let's see how I did...
Off to a good start with my rising time...
Under treated skies...
And, rather than carry out mu daily online tasks to keep stuff up to date, I commenced with the ripping of yesterday's acquisitions (see below - noted as "Today's New Music" - even though, in reality, they form part of yesterday;'s)...
...while being soundtracked with yesterday's new release input (which continued throughout the day, hence the large playlist above)...
Did not write the diary - although I did prep the entries for everything except the writing...
Chose the next two CD Boxes...
No 74 JACK Quartet - Emma Kirkby...
Violinist Leila Josefwicz, a disc purchased in New York in 1999 at Academy Records...
...recorded before she was 20 - she's now nearly 50 - time flies...
Features works by de Falla, Messiaen, Grieg and Bartok...
And, Box 75, Emma Kirkby - Tatjana Kukoc...
Chose the last in the box, guitarist Tatjana Kukoc...
Mostly multi tracked guitars...
Playing the music of Steve Reich, Stepehen Funk PEarson and Howard Bashaw...
Quite looking forward to that one...
Then, writing up the red book of CDs I own (Vol 2) with purchases so far in March...
The listening continued...
It was the weekend...
Anne made soup and then set off to Pickleball coaching - I ran through the new songs for tomorrow...
On her return, said soup enjoyed and a new thing discovered, "Good Cop, Bad Cop" - only 8 episodes in the first season, after which it was inexplicably cancelled...
As it is very funny indeed and much recommended...
By close today we'd watched the first four...
Music listening continued as we watched Scotland v Japan in a friendly...
Japan are 19th in the world (18th after this game), Scotland 38th (40th after this game) but, somehow, it was deemed a disappointing start to the World Cup build up to have lost 1-0...
In our group we face 7th and 8th ranked Brazil and Morroco - plus rank outsiders ranked 83rd(with whom we might get a draw), Haiti...
Tasty prawn pasta for tea...
While being prepped, I managed to write up the diary for the last two days..
Tasty tea was followed by the 4th of our 4 "Good Cop, Bad Cop" and three "Chicago PD", dishes and then, at 10:30, bed - due to losing an hour over night and Anne needing to be at Pickleball by 9...
Lights out without have accomplished much off my opening list...
Highlight of the Day: New music...
