Discovery can be good or it can be bad...

Playlist

Up late?  Kind of...

Scenes from the newly tidied back room...

To the machines...

Everything doen, except writing yesterday's entry, which I did tomorrow morning just before this one...

Picked the next CD of the day...

No 65, Anonymous 4 - Cecilia Bartoli...

Chose a disc by the Arditti Quartet from 1994...

Recordings made for WDR in Germany, featuring works by American composers - Nancarrow, Carter, Ives, Yim, Feldman, Lucier, La Monte Young & Cage...

A difficult in places but, ultimately, worthwhile listen!

Before playing it though...

Spent some considerable time compiling a one off EP for Crazy Wisdom Malcolm's mu of my now 40 year old song. "Poppies" - she has advised M that she'd like it played at her funeral...

Which would, of course, be an honour...

8 versions found and compiled to the EP...

Also, a new to me band form France - kinda prog/fusion type of thing, Juzz...

Tasty...

Then, around 11, a drive over to Malcolm's...

I put the disc through his letter box, as it turns out he's still in Leeds, following having travelled down to see his son's band, Jeneta, play at The Key Club there...

He sent me these pics...

On the way home, to The Gyle to get the latest The Wire, as it had The Wire Tapper 70 attached...

Noted an exchange offer re Norway - we were going on 12.88 but this was only 11.8 almost 10% fewer Krone for a pound...

So it goes...

A TV mag for Anne too...

Me, weird music, Anne, TV...

Home for lunch...

Some ripping and listening...

Here the 70 Wire CDs (plus two cats in boxes), issued over the last 28 years...

Over 90 hours of, often, exceptionally bad music...

A prawn pasta tea was followed by, quite probably, far too much "Chicago PD"...

And a couple of hours researching Norwegian accommodation...

Eventually, Bergen booked...

Oslo still to be done...

Bed at midnight, post, also, downloading, for tomorrow, various things mention in the Wire or featured on its CD...

Highlight of the Day: The music of Juzz...
