Yesterday we noted on our missed calls log, that old chum and Alice Cooper aficionado Mr Grant Henderson had called and left a message...

We tried to call back before heading to Fife but to no avail, so today, around midday, having done absolutely nothing of any consequence this morning (no change there then) I gave him a call and we had a good old chat...

I’ve probably not spoken to Grant for over three years but it was like we’d last spoken yesterday...

He and his lovely wife Heather have pet Huskies...

So cute dogs...

Looking forward to hooking up with him again soon – he advises the new Coop album is not great – of course, we’ll both still buy it...

He also advised he reads this drivel from time to time and wonders at my ability to write an entry every day – surmising, probably correctly, that, once you’ve been writing “something” every day for over three years, it’s very hard to just stop...

And so here we are again...

A visit to Tesco for a blow up mattress for any upcoming sleepover scenarios, is followed by three episodes of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” from my birthday DVDs...

Played my guitar for a wee while before we set off to Anne’s mum’s for the fortnightly family tea – Jane, Bobby and the kids are just back from a holiday in Tuscany – they were raving about how good it was – it seems they are just now discovering the excellence and beauty of Europe....

Back home, I returned to the Impossible Songs project and my initial 17 song shortlist for the proposed CBQ curated “Best of”....

Discounted a couple of pieces and particularly enjoyed “Syrus’ Song” and the remix of “Silence” along with several of guitarist John’s instrumental pieces...

Sounding good...

Highlight of the Day : Telecon with a good old buddy after far too long...

Hi, well the squirrels did finally win out and after an impressive display of climbing and squirming ate the cake, (6 squirrels and possibly sick squirrels so thats six sick squirrels) assisted by one robin, some finches and a couple of tits (sic). Mucho thanks for the "Greatestits" compilation work, sounds good and glad you've included Syrus' Song. Why is it that with "Greatestits" a certain type of cover art springs to mind?
