Up at 6:30 and went to sit in the back room with Meg the Black Cat, contemplating re-ordering my CDs, whilst just listening to some great music on the Jazz and Classical Jukebox...

The task was daunting and I only finally decided to tackle it a couple of hours later, starting after breakfast to integrate the three sets of “Rock & Pop” A-Zs I did a few months back – Studio Albums, Live Albums and Single Artist Compilations...

Listened to CBQ’s “Ersatzreal Live” CD whilst I “worked” – Anne was off out and we’d arranged to meet at the German Beer Festival on Lothian Road at Midday...

After making a good start to things, I walked down to the bus (having forgotten my camera) and met Anne in the cafe at the Filmhouse bang on 12 – it had been pouring with rain and we were the only people at the so-called beer festival but we enjoyed a small bratwurst each despite this...

Then we took a bus up to the far end of Morningside and walked all the way back to Tollcross, stopping off at Hendricks Bar for a drink...

There are over 20 cafes on the route to Tollcross – we counted them...

Back out after refreshments and walked on to West Port and down through the Grassmarket and up Victoria St, along George IV Bridge to Greyfrair’s Bobby where we stopped for a tasty pannini at the place where Dr Prog and I usually discuss the sorry state of the music industry when we meet up to go to the music library – never acknowledging of course that we are adding to it by borrowing and copying CDs...

Anne wanted to see the café that now resides in our old record shop so we walked on to West Nicholson St and it was packed so we couldn’t go in – what a change from the dying days of our business venture ten years ago...

We went round the corner and found a great wee place instead called Café Rodi (the word “Chocolatier” in the title drew us to it, though we only partook of some of their lovely coffee)...

Then a No 31 bus back to Corstorphine and we walked up the hill to Crispycat Towers...

In the evening, late on after finishing off the CD re-ordering exercise (whilst the weather deteriorated)...

....our first Indian takeaway for a while accompanied the viewing of the animated film “Robots” on DVD...

To bed with Mr Ronnie James Dio on the cans...

Rockin’...

Highlight of the Day : Walking around not really doing anything...
