When a risk provides a return...

Playlist

Up before 6 - chancing it by saying I was feeling slightly better...

Scenes...

Welome to week 18 of 2026...

Post breakfast, I decided I'd go to Glasgow...

...and, an hour or so later, around 9:30 or so, I was there...

Walked a bit to the 6A bus stop...

I liked the look of this abandoned building...

Meanwhile, over in Salzburg...

Time for the Sound of Music Tour...

...followed  by more sightseeing...

...and beers...

Back beneath not quite so blue skies, I was off to Byre's Road...

Here, a hard working Glasgow man...

Target in the distance I...

Target in the distance II...

The beast was looking at its target in the distance...

First port of call, Shelter...

Three things found immediately...

Round the corner into actual Byre's Road...

...where this as spotted but left where it was - conveyed toho to Count Brodski - we were both, independently, Subbuteo players in our youth...

Onwards...

In the BHF...

This for a quid...

Lunch at Subway then, on down to Oxfam...

A sale on their classical CDs, all 50% off...

Nabbed this quartet...

The beast was deciding what to do next...

Back to the top of the road and onto a No 6 back to the town centre...

...and to Missing...

...emerging just over an hour later...

...with all these for £10...

While I knew this would be good (it is)...

...I took a risk with the rest...

A walk back to the bus station, passing the erstwhile Tower Records building...

Up Buchanan Street...

...and leaving the Weedge, just after 2...

...speeding home...

...and back at the machines...

...for ripping and listening...

All the purchases were deemed good...

Time to cook tea...

Bratwurst...

Onions...

Mash...

...and beans...

Tasty...

Pudding was some chocolate raisins...

...as I continued to listen to today's acquisitions...

Then, dishes from Friday to now...

Done...

Late on, found a show from Laura Pausini...

...in a tiny studio with a very small invited audience...

...must have been strange, given the band is more used to playing in stadia...

Some Alice Cooper from the start of the new tour found too...

Finally, the next CD Box...

No 118, Eric Dolphy to Kenny Dorham...

Chose this disc by John Donaldson...

...bought for the presence of ex-Earthworks saxophonist, Iain Ballamy...

Looking forward to reacquainting myself with this...

For now though, to bed with Laura Pausini in the cans...

Highlight of the Day: A trip to the Weedge...
