Learning stuff I don't need to learn can still be enjoyable...

Playlist

Up with the larks due to coughing...

Which continued at the laptop as I released "GLAM! FOUR" into the wild...

The Exec Producer came through and suggested I go downstairs to the farthest point of the house from her, to allow her to sleep...

Accordingly, writing up the red book of CDs I own (vol 2) in the dining room...

It was the weekend...

Coffee was required...

Job done...

Record Store Day...

The only thing that interested me was an expanded version of Brian Eno's 2010 LP, "Small Craft on a Milk Sea"...

I was able to create it without having to leave the house and stand in a queue at a record shop for hours and pay £30-£40 for music I already owned, for the pleasure of being able to listen to it with additional surface noise...

Yep, but music doesn't need to have it, John. Record Store Day was supposed to be about Record Stores, not a format....

Record Stores sell CDs (if they're worth their salt, anyway), so why are there virtually zero CD releases for Record Store Day?

Don't they want artists' barrel scrapings to be available without surface noise?

Get my barrel scrapings here!

Nice review from Mr David Gray on the Bandcamp - unlike the majority of my "supporters", he has only ever invested in covers sets, the "GLAM" LPs, I-IV and "Funtime" from late last year...

"If it’s RSD day, it’s Glam” time. I always look forward to David’s annual release and seeing what he’s going to delight us with.

As a pre-teen, I used to purchase Pye’s “Chartbusters” cassettes (Much better than their “Top of the Pops” equivalents.) I get the same buzz from the Glam albums. Up there with “Funky Junction’s Tribute to Deep Purple”. IYKYK!😀"

High praise indeed...

Anyway, mushroom and toast for breakfast...

...and working on fixing a few wayward sections of various tracks recorded at Monday's rehearsal and then putting the 48 songs recorded then, and at the previous session, into setlist order...

At lunchtime, watched the first half of Falkirk v Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup Semi Final...

Can't believe it's now 18 years since Queen of the South's glorious 4-3 victory over Aberdeen...

Anyway, with Anne off out to pickleball at half time, I turned it off and went back to work...

Later, I worked on guitar parts for "Make Me Smile" (due to a key change) and "Heroes" - just to see how easy it is to actually just play the same part six times in a row, if I were the lead guitarist on that song, which I'm not but, you know...

Later Fang visited...

...and, later still, there were goodies too, for the humans - sausages in an onion gravy with mash and broccoli...

Yowsah...

The remainder of the evening was spent watching quite possibly too many episodes of Season 2 of "Bergerac"...

Shut down...

...at midnight...
