Based on votes to the old Radio 2 programme and issued in 1984...

The old LP version of the then Top 10, from back around 1970, was one of the first records I "owned", gifted to me by my dad...

Quite a few of the selections from 1970 remained in the fray 14 years later...

Some work on song sheets re today's rehearsal...

Home made soup for lunch and the remainder of the first "Taskmaster"...

At 1, off out to Roslin...

A 3 hour 20 minute session, during which we played through 25 songs which, based on the last rehearsal, required further work today...

...is the drink I had at the Forrester's Arms in Loanhead with Keith and Martin on the way home, as we waited to avoid the traffic jams on the Edinburgh Bypass Road...

Despite having lived in Loanhead from 1966 to 1983, today was the first time I'd ever been inside the establishment...

It did not look like this, this evening...

Home around 7 for a baked potato based tea, with left over chicken from yesterday, plus editing today's session and sending it out, watching "University Challenge" (a miserable 80 points, as Manchester made it to the final to meet Edinburgh) and a few episodes of Dan Levy's new comedy "Big Mistakes", which is very enjoyable...

Noted that, on this day, 53 years ago, this LP was released...

...and that it contains not one wasted second...

That doesn't happen very often...
