Cleaning out the toaster can be a sign of normalcy...

Playlist

This morning...

Tidying and, generally, making the house spick and span again...

At the machines, post breakfast...

...I compiled a new Yes compilation - the opening track from each of their studio LPs...

Four and a quarter hours of fun...

...for an old goat...

I...

II...

Pondered filing re all these, the recent acquisitions which would constitute "The Shelf" were I still allowed to have "The Shelf" in the living room...

...which I am not, of course...

Chose a CD from the next box...

No 120, John Etheridge - Bill Frisell...

The most recent disc I have by erstwhile Bad Plus pianist, Orrin Evens..

...recorded before he joined the band..

He had his career pre them and has continued to have his career post them...

A tasty disc...

Around 11:30, the call came to pick Anne and Jane up off the airport bus...

Nice weather as I waited for them to arrive...

Took Jane home, good stories in the car of various shenanigans, including almost not being allowed to leave Europe due to not having been stamped in in Vienna...

And home for the EP...

Life back to normal during the remainder of the day, which included cleaning the crumbs out from the toaster...

Caught up on some TV before bed at a "normal" time...

Good to be being Executively Produced once again...

Highlight of the Day: The return of the Exec Producer...

I think a compilation of first tracks is a great idea, assuming there are enough "proper" albums - certainly good for a playlist.
