Up later than I might have been...
It was the weekend...
...and to the machines...
Decided to create a new compilation by Pet Shop Boys re all the tunes played in their "Obsure" residency in Camden Town last week...
...and listening to the new stuff that came in yesterday...
Post breakfast and leaving Anne listening to the radio in the kitchen...
...around 10:15, I was of out to Penicuik to Stu Cobley's house...
...where his chum's art adorns a wall...
...and where coffees and biscuits were the order of the day....
Stu has recently found this wee record player at his mum's house - it seems he bought it and then forgot about it...
He was playing a record bought at Anne and my's record shop in the 90's and so, it's likely this was once my copy of Lou Reed's "The Blue Mask"...
It seems quite a few of Stu's records were bought at our shop - a Russian pressing of the Beatles' White Album being one...
We were testing Stu's set up to determine the source of a sound fault which occasionally occurs...
It seemed to be his speakers...
We'll see...
What's in that Tesco bag?
Some CDs Stu offloaded onto me...
Upon arriving back home for lunch with Anne, I decided to keep 9...
It was the weekend...
Take two...
Here are the CDs I kept...
A lift to the Zoo form Anne, off to Jane and Bob's and then off to Tynecastle to see Hearts come from behind to end up 3-1 winners against Motherwell and stay top of the league...
In Dumfries, Queens beat Cove Rangers 2-0 to consolidate 4th place...
A bus for me to Haymarket and stuff dropped off at the cat protection league before taking another bus to the East End of Prices St and into Avalanche, where these were obtained...
Apart from Boa Morte, Trio AAB and Rothko, none of the artists was known to me - I was in a risk taking mood...
A triumphant Anne returned home, bearing a Chinese takeaway...
...enjoyed along with the last 3 or 4 episodes of "Dead Loch", which turned out to be pretty good...
Then, football highlights, music listening re today's acquisitions, and bed at midnight...
Highlight of the Day: Taking a chance on new to me music...
