Thirteen comes alive...

Playlist

Up late...

First thing, an e-mail to remind me I was seeing Soft Machine tonight - so that was my "Morning, Thursday morning" post on BlueSky...

Scenes...

Uploading the podcast from this week, 10 years ago and was soundtracked by it, post Santana's debut...

I may keep that 10 years ago thing going - it's on my alternative podcast account - you can access via the sidebar...

Ten years on, my presentation is a lot more relaxed...

Catching up with Impossible Songs' blog...

Then, down to the days work, an hour after rising...

Downloading the pictures from yesterday and adding to the archive...

Writing this...

Catching up on Johnny B's Substack articles...

Breakfast...

Then, chose a CD from the next box, No 94, from "Preussens Hofkomponisten" - "The Sony Essential Classics Collection"...

"Sonic Circuits VIII" (2000), issued by the American Composers Forum...

Should probably be in "normal" compilations...

Weird electronic music recorded re a once upon a time annual music festival - per the notes in this pic...

A new visitor to the street over the past few days...

Downloading albums from, and uploading albums to, Drop Box and making arrangements with Prog Rock Willie for tonight...

Then, finally getting up to date with the daily posting of the CD Boxes and daily playlists...

At 12:15, out and down the hill with Annie for a slap up lunch...

...at the Corstorphine Inn...

Steak Thursday, apparently...

Value for money ahoy...

Very tasty indeed...

A walk to LIDL for bread and goodie drops followed by a bus back to the terminus and back down the hill to home...

It was Thursday...

A visit once again from Fang for his goodie drops...

Ours enjoyed with a few more episodes of "Emily in Paris"...

Home made soup for tea and out and off to South Queensferry at 6:30, parked by 7 and picked up by Willie for our trip up to Kinross for tonight's Soft Machine gig...

Obligatory pre performance pic...

Obligatory half time pic...

Obligatory full time pics...

In between those, two hours of top notch playing from the quartet, whose latest CD I partook of at half time and, over which, I met with the band post gig, to have said CD signed...

Willie bought 2 LPs and a CD, all of which he too had signed...

A drive back to Queensferry, where I almost left my CD in Willie's car, and then, home, where the raw recording of the gig was listened to - some work required...

And, last thing, stumbled across an auction of Fee Waybill's Tubes memorabilia, amongst which, these items...

A plaque commemorating their sell out show in Edinburgh on the "Remote Control" tour in 1979...

I was there...

..and these - I have a similar T Shirt...

I was there...

I was at most of these...

Good memories...

Bed post midnight with the gig in my ears...

Highlight of the Day: Soft Machine live...
