Up six hours after retiring...
In Vienna, breakfast was served under a stopped clock...
Post my Shreddies here, I popped down to LIDL for some provisions and then, to the Cancer Research shop next door - I spotted this...
But bought these...
Popular with my parents and their friends in the early 60’s…
Twist-tastic…
And...
Back in the collection after too long. Gifted to me by my dad around 1970, my first wider introduction to classical music. Of course these renditions are burned into my brain and are for me, the definitive versions of each piece from “Finlandia” to “Nimrod”...
Enjoyed pre going out and continued to soundtrack my journey into town...
First though, today's CD Box choice...
Box 116 Miles Davis...
Chose this double live album, released in 1972...
This is the original issue, with no track titles...
...apart from "Slickaphonics" and £"Foot Fooler"...
Later editions advised this...
Disc one (First set - “Foot Fooler” in Concert, Sides 1 and 2)
1. "Rated X" 12:16
2. "Honky Tonk" 9:18
3. "Theme from Jack Johnson" 10:12
4. "Black Satin/The Theme" 14:14
Disc two (Second set - “Slickaphonics” in Concert, Sides 3 and 4)
1. "Ife" 27:53
2. "Right Off/The Theme" 10:30
Anyway, out around 12:15 and off down the hill for the fifth day in a row...
A bus to Haymarket...
...and a meet up with Malcolm for a Crazy Wisdom Curry Lunch at Rustom...
Good food, good chat and cold lager...
We will shortly recommence the rebirthing of Crazy Wisdom...
Meanwhile, in Vienna...
Beer and cake ahoy...
Around 3:30, Malcolm and I headed off in the directions of our hiomes...
On his recommendation, I watched this episode of "Still Game"...
...and the two Tom Cruise "Jack Reacher " films...
By 9pm, I was feeling particularly grim...
...and headed to bed, rather earlier than usual, but I really needed some rest...
