Another of those days where I didn't even get out of my onesie...

The view from the office this morning...

To work, compiling the year end "Twentytwentyfour: The Originals", a 126 minute selection of tracks from the fourteen 2024 releases by Cloudland Blue Quartet...

Done and uploaded to Bandcamp, ready for letting go (once I've done the sleevenotes)...

It's to be released on Xmas Eve, in anticipation of the companion fifteenth and final record of the year, "Twentytwentyfour", which will be a multi disc compilation of rare and previously unreleased recordings made throughout 2024, due on new Year's Eve...

Made some inroads re the compilation of that too...

Bacon rolls for breakfast...

Admin re bringing said bacon, in monetary form, home...

Anne decided, at last, that it's Xmas...

Yowsah!

A couple of "Bosch" episodes...

Word from the boys in the band - 11 years after it being first mooted, rehearsed for but then, thwarted by the untimely death of my good old musical partner Jamie Frain, we are finally going to learn the original Capital Models canon...

So, much of the afternoon was spent going through the songs and song sheets and ensuring I have recordings in the correct keys...

There is much prep to be done...

The Exec Producer said "so what?"  "You should be writing new music if you want to do original material"...

Hmmm...

Keith is up for it too...

Let's see...

This evening, a tasty curry from Anne...

...and Pete Wicks finally ejected form "Strictly"...

Isaac Hayes was enjoyed while that was happening...

Then, in "Wolf Hall", things took a turn for the worse for old Cromwell...

Back to the machines at 10:48, bringing in a plethora of stuff from The Wigmore Hall, nabbed this morning upon its chance discovery on the Bandcamp...

Bed at midnight, weekend over...

Highlight of the Day : A decision to look back and, possibly, forward...
