Robert Fripp - Exposures
Grand Funk Railroad - More of the Best
Dog Unit - At Home
Couldn't sleep...
Up around 5...
To work re ripping the Fripp Box...
It was Boxing Day...
...and "Wallace and Gromit" was very much enjoyed - everything about it was brilliant...
At 11:15, took Anne round to Jane and Bob's for their trip to Tynecastle to see their beloved JTs beaten at home 2-1 by arch rivals Hibs...
Even though it's only a game, it's not only a game to them, of course...
Back home and experimenting re getting access to the Blu Rays' masses of Frippertronics, with the first of those not on the CDs in the box, recorded in real time...
It worked but this will take an absolute age...
Tried to swap the Blu Ray downstairs for the DVD player upstairs so I could carry out this task less messily, up there...
But...
(a) the DVD player needs a Scart to HMDI cable, which I did not have to hand and...
(b) the Blu Ray display is impossible to fathom without it being connected to a TV, which I do not have to hand...
And so, swapped back again and enjoyed some Grand Funk Railroad instead...
...before heading out, on foot, to meet the football fans at Jane & Bobs, via a bus....
As ever, Jane had outdone herself on the Xmassy front - always a delight...
Presents exchanged - Jane had asked Anne what she'd got me to avoid any clashes...
Of course, Anne had forgotten she'd got tickets for Stewart Lee...
And so now we're all going!
Not to worry...
Rafa too got something he liked...
Olly and Bob were rather subdued re the footie result...
...but Rafa did his best to cheer them up...
Xmas Dinner was served...
Bob's steak was the main feature but all the supporting roles were filled admirably and, indeed, extremely tastily...
Yowsah!
Crackers led to some whistle piping - of which I have a recording...
We were not the best...
...but it was top fun...
Puddings...
... included Jane's signature impossible to resist Roulade...
...which was followed with more games...
"Tension" - where each team in turn was asked to name ten things as set out by the quizmaster...
Four combinations of teams took part over the piece...
Anne, Jane and Olly were the most successful...
Then, bus home...
Not too late really and not too the worse for wear...
And so, a good Xmas trio of days came to an end...
Highlight of the Day : Boxing Day at Jane & Bob's
