Up and listening to recent acquisitions, over and above the Fripp Box...
It wasn't too early really...
Porridge and Banana for breakfast...
Called FourSquare to ensure the furniture pick up booked for today was still happening and that I'd get an hour's notice...
It was - it would be happening this afternoon and the notice giving scenario had been passed to the collection men...
A call around 10:30 - FourSquare would be at Loanhead in 20 minutes...
Quickly dressed and the two of us sped over to my mum's house, arriving just before the FourSquare boys - who took the last of the takeable furniture...
Mum's TV table into the car to swap for her old chum Janette's - from whom we were just awaiting address confirmation...
And so, Coffee and Empire Biscuits enjoyed at Stotties on the main street, as we waited...
My jelly sweet already scoffed...
Top chat from the Stotties man, to us and to other clients...
Enjoyable...
Round to Janette's - turned out both tables were exactly the same size so no swap took place and work was avoided...
Good to hear J is doing pretty well after her recent heart attack and stent fitting...
Back to the house with mum's table...
Upstairs now almost completely empty...
Sad times...
Mum and Dad's room...
Sheila and Pam's room...
My room...
Home just after one...
Sandwiches for lunch and some TV - the "Gru" film - like "Wallace and Gromit", quite excellent...
A package from Jorg and Manu - a replacement ornament for that crushed in The Great Book Shelf Collapse of 2024...
By the time "Gru" was finished, it was too dark for Anne to do her planned gardening so she made soup instead, while I attended to the Classical CD-Rs, in the "ensuring all CD-Rs are on a hard drive" project...
25 were already on my iTunes, 21 Not, so, 46 in total...
A lot fewer than I'd imagined...
By the end of today's project session, 12 remained to be ripped...
Soup time...
...with "Mastermind"...
Pre "University Challenge", upstairs and this top LP listened to (side one anyway)...
Look how much I was enjoying it when BeReal beckoned...
My pics for this week's CDFriday on BlueSky...
That'll do...
Then "University Challenge" (145), "Have I Got News For You Year End Comp" and the "Return to Paradise" Xmas Special all entertained...
Ended the day by downloading 11 new to me Tangerine Dream concerts, having, this morning, also discovered the Neu! like sounding Birmingham band Einstellung's complete discography...
That'll keep me going...
Highlight of the Day : Gru...

Quite a milestone getting your mum's house cleared, not an easy thing, particularly at this time of year. Glad to hear these final tasks are coming to an end. All the best for 2025.
Aye It’s taken a good while. More work tomorrow Almost there Cheers JB!
