It was Saturday...
But, you know, every day is like, no, not Sunday, Morrissey, but Saturday...
Here we go...
Not too early really...
Good skies...
But what work was I doing?
That's the million dollar question...
Well, listening back to "The Great Carving" once again and ensuring it was still ok for release next Friday...
And bringing through the now two boxes of CD-Rs which will need to be ripped manually as no downloads for these exist...
I know, I've checked...
But that's for another day...
Breakfast and a visit from Fang...
He likes his Dreamies...
...and exploring...
Shortly after this cuteness, my leg was slashed and he exited...
Funny wee man...
Anyway, out, taking Anne round to Lynn's - they were off for a long walk...
I was supposed to pick up Dr Prog at his house but he'd messaged to say he was walking to Ocean Terminal instead...
So, also a long walk...
I had a look around the other shops pre his arrival and found three discs for a pound in the hospice shop - Bartok Motets, a couple of Piano Trios and a 2CD set of Country hits....
And so, when I approached today's record fair, the Doc had just arrived...
He partook of a Genesis live DVD - the Gabriel days - of which he's pretty sure he already has all the content...
My own haul from the Fair, in my head to replace the Laurie Anderson set which never arrived, comprised three jazz titles - Mike Taylor, Weather Report and the Mahavishnu Orchestra...
Sustenance and chat was enjoyed - we agreed to disagree on a few things and we agreed to agree on a few things...
It's what chums do...
Two hours later, time to head, the Doc to swim, me to go home and listen and rip...
I'd been trying to recall which on ear BluTooth headphones I use - sent the Doc this pic from HMVs window - earlier, I'd been disappointed to find that their online CD sale did not appear to be available in this shop...
Back home, these joined the collection...
Tasty...
It was time, yet again, to update my second "Red Book of CDs I Own"...
Accordingly the items requiring recording, were brought upstairs from the shelf...
These were the culprits...
...which were written in the book while new things were enjoyed...
An enquiry from an old school acquaintance as to what I'm up to musically...
Here you go...
Late on, some new jazz and ambience found...
And, in the intervening time an unpictured splendid tea plus some Xmas oriented TV enjoyed, although, of course, as I write this on New Year's Eve morning, I cannot say what...
So it goes...
Highlight of the Day : Out with Dr Prog...
