Downstairs...

...and presents wrapped...

Still a couple to create/secure...

To further work...

Writing this - still a few days behind, sadly - plus compiling the next three podcasts - recording No 50 this evening while, for 51 and 52, I've decided each will feature 26 of my 52 LPs of the week for 2024...

Checked my chart positions on the Bandcamp...

Today, I had 24 in the Top 500!

That's almost 5% of the chart - and I have 10% of the Top 50...

Breakfast with Anne...

Then, Monday morning tasks, sorting a few things re my mum's house - further furniture pick up, a viewing appointment to start the selling process and correspondence with the solicitor who, hopefully, holds the Deeds...

It's all go...

With Anne off out to the shops, I set about recording standalone vocals for the Capital Models "Original Canon" project...

On Anne's return, just as I was finishing singing, she advised the man to change the handles on all the windows was arriving around 12:30...

And so, a quick take down of all the equipment and removal of all the books from their in front of the window position, ensued...

Done...

As we awaited the man, I mixed this...

...and continued to do so while the man did some sterling work...

By just after 2, both he and I were done and, indeed, dusted...

It's like being a chart artist (not really), having new windows (not really) and pulling me in 1980 from the murk (not really)...

Look how pleased I was about my chart placings, the new handles and the new mix...

Or was I impersonating Fang, who visited but did not come in - too busy probably - but enjoyed a few Dreamies on the front step...

...before going on his way...

Lunch on the man's departure, then the final episode of "Bosch" season three, setting things up nicely for season four...

Anne had brought home cake...

Later on, she was off out to Pilates with Lynn...

Work in the back room - re-arranging the books and the hi-fi...

I like it...

Enjoyed some East German String Quartets...

...some String Masterpieces from my Dad's old collection...

He might actually have bought that from my shop and it might actually have initially been owned by me - checked my book...

Hmmm...

Doesn't seem so...

Oh well...

And then, inspired by a post on the BlueSky, some John Foxx - a few tracks from the box at the bottom, the Foxx Boxx...

What was up with my Rudolf the Red-Nose Reindeer nose?

Hmmm...

Baked Potato tea on a Monday night...

Look at this we face...

Upstairs to start prepping this week's podcast - whittling over 50 in the long-list to the requisite 25...

At 8:30, "University Challenge" - we got 80 - as Bristol thrashed Exeter, coming close to 300 against 35 at the close...

Warner was supremely annoying...

Possibly even more so than McLaughlin form their 2022 team - the man who couldn't pronounce his own name...

Then, at 9, the return of "Strike"...

Enjoyed with a vaguely remembered Orange Gin - a Xmas present from Anne last year?

Nope, I got Port...

It was 2 years ago...

 ...and only opened this evening?

Unbelievable...

We also found three bottles of red wine we'd forgotten about...

Pensioners eh?

Anyway - cheers!

Post "Strike" (looking forward to episode two tomorrow), the podcast was done...

...and the listen back took me to bedtime...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : A new version of the old stuff...
