Today marks 19 years since I started writing this drivel...

Drivel yes, but it allows us to look back and recall what we did and when we did it...

Which is what I remind myself every time I start to write another entry - that it's all kind of worthwhile...

What with the playlist and photos and actual writing, it probably takes around 30 minutes, on average, to produce a post - a lot more if it's a day from a holiday trip with loads of pics and "activity" to record...

This is the 7,352nd entry in 6,941 days...

So, my estimate for time spent keeping this up to date over the last 19 years is around 3,676 hours, or 153 twenty four hour days...

Or 5 months...

Hmmm...

Anyway, it was quite nice out today...

...at twenty to seven, as I got this back up to date (always a challenge)...

Started the day with CDs moving off the living room shelf after yesterday's purchases...

...while looking through the 5th of March entries since 2005, stumbling across the Bryan Ferry "Dylanesque" concert in 2007 and looking for the mystery instrumental, which turned out to be a song made famous by Billie Holiday, apparently Ferry's all time fave singer...

Eggs on toast for breakfast, followed by getting the red book of CDs I own up to date, adding the last 38 acquisitions...

A request mid-morning from chum Gillian for us to look after Luna for 2 weeks in June...

Accepted!

Compiled week 9's Top 20 LPs...

...and the Top 20 of the year so far...

Then, off over to Anne's mum's to go for lunch at the Murrayfield Bar...

Tasty burger for Anne..

...while the fish goujon and scampi scenario chosen by Mary and I may have been a step too far...

On the 19th anniversary of the blog, it seems like a good day to decide to get back on the wagon, outside food wise, with Annie controlling house internal intake...

The day remained lovely...

...and, coffee in Mary's apartment was accompanied by some jigsaw work from Anne...

...and followed by some snoozing from the goujon and scampi team...

Back home, I took down the set up following yesterday's rehearsals - noting a potential dodgy wire situation...

...and, generally, tidied up my nonsense...

This book on Leipzig, acquired from Mary's apartment block common room for free, inspired me to listen to some Bach acquired in said Leipzig...

....followed by more Bach...

...some Cage (from Bruxelles)...

..and some weird tuneless lovely nonsense from Mr Simaku...

By this time it was dark and I moved through from the back room to the computer, to listen to more recent acquisitions...

...which were then transferred to my phone and listened to downstairs with the blue tooth buds while Anne enjoyed a programme on Anne Boleyn...

We closed the day with the first two episodes of the fifth and final season of "Leverage" - including a cameo from one of the characters from "Chuck"!...

To bed with Blank Gloss...

Highlight of the Day : Anniversary...
