Up just before 7 on the last day of the 19th year of writing this drivel...

..and, this morning, rehearsing, after sending out yesterday's MP3s to the team and bringing the "Reference Sets" up to date...

Currently, this comprises 7 songs from 14 January, 8 from 11 February, 9 from 24 February and 22 from yesterday...

And so, Mr Barclay now features on all the Wedding set items...

I played all but 9 of the 46 songs - and managed those 9 this evening...

This afternoon, out...

...and down the hill to the bank to sort the final thing re my PoA for my mum...

Then, coffee and cake at The Village...

...and a wee walk around the environs...

...which, of course, involved visiting three charity shops...

Home two hours after leaving...

..and to listening and ripping...

£1 each for the top two from Shelter and £4 for the remaining mix of metal LPs and EPs from the St Columba's Hospice shop...

Strange marks on some of the metal stuff - kind of sticky - which had to be washed off under the tap - you couldn't do that with a record (as far as I know)...

Anyway, today's acquisitions...

French jazz on Blue Note, mainly with vocals and, it has to be said, disappointing beats...

A comp from a Swedish songstress, also jazz with vocals...

Sludge metal covers of Zappa and Beefheart on this EP...

Kinda death metal but reasonable...

Ditto...

Slower and better...

...and a kinda metal but more tuneful EP to round things off...

A couple of episodes of "Leverage" and that was it for the 4th of March...

Highlight of the Day : Being out and about...
