First thing...

...another compilation created...

Today, the tracks included on three Alice Cooper albums between 2011 and 2021 involving members of the original Alice Cooper Group...

This is how I waste my time...

Also downloaded the 50th Anniversary Edition of "Billion Dollar Babies"...

People are basically shelling out for a booklet and four mono single mixes which weren't on the previous Deluxe Edition...

I might get the CD set at some point...

Hey, that's music these days...

Also spent an inordinate amount of time today updating my "charts" for 2024 so far, taking the listing up to 100 each week (previously I'd limited it to a manageable 20)...

Of course, in week one, there were only 4 entries, and so on...

Week 2: 16
Week 3: 35
Week 4: 52
Week 5: 78
Week 6: 96

And so, week 7 was the first week of the year where not every 2024 release secured a place on the chart...

This evening, I compiled Week 10 and, thus far, a total of 154 LPs have been on the chart at some point...

This is how I waste my time...

I made up weekly charts (singles and, in some years albums too) from 1973 to around 2001 and, indeed, using reference books at the time, worked my way backwards at one point too, taking me back to 1959...

My charts form 1972 and 1973 assisted me in knowing what were the earliest LP acquisitions I made, pre starting my diaries in 1974, which continued to 1983, followed by my "Red Books of CDs I Own" from 1985 to now...

Anyway...

Here are my current Top 20 LPs...

1 Grandaddy - Blu Wav (1)
2 Trio HLK - Anthropometricks (New)
3 Ethan Iverson - Technically Acceptable (2)
4 Black Art Jazz Collective - Truth to Power (11)
5 Max Richter - Spaceman (4)
6 Skyjack - Light Cycle (15)
7 This Celestial Engine - This Celestial Engine (5)
8 Plantoid - Terrapath (9)
9 Nils Frahm - Day (3)
10 IDLES - TANGK (18)
11 The Pineapple Thief - It Leads To This (7)
12 Mr Mibbler - Falling Ladder (8)
13 Neal Morse - The Restoration - Joseph, Pt. Two (6)
14 Monkey3 - Welcome To The Machine (17)
15 Chris Potter, John Patitucci, Brian Blade, Brad Mehldau - Eagle's Point (New)
16 Goose - Ted Tapes 2024 (10)
17 From Flowers to Flies - We Built This Machine (16)
18 Friends & Neighbors - Circles (19)
19 Anchor and Burden - Extinction Level (14)
20 Fire! - Testament (13)

Full disclosure, I own not a single one of them on CD...

This week, there were 13 new entries, 3 non-movers, including the No 1 and 25 LPS moved up the chart...

In the old days, that would mean my playlist this week would comprise 41 of the 100...

Everyone loves a list!

At lunchtime, on the return of Anne from shopping, both with her mum and for us, I cooked!

Which was very stressful for Anne...

My ingredients for four portions of Naked Burritos (only half of the mince shown was required)...

It went well...

...and turned out fine and, indeed, tasty...

...and will do me for another three days...

We watched the final 2 episodes of "Leverage", with season 5 coming to a satisfactory end...

Looking forward to "Leverage: Redemption", even though two characters will be missing, one due to unsavoury allegations which came to nothing but caused him to be dropped from the reboot plans and the character being killed off; and one who will appear occasionally due to the actor having other commitments...

In the evening, post earlier these days Pilates, Anne was in charge of the unpictured baked potatoes...

Then, we watched Hearts finally get past Greenock Morton with an 86th minute goal, to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, where they will play Scotland's newest club, at Hampden, in April...

The mighty Uriah Heep soundtracked the second half...

Then, Anne caught up with "Corrie" while I did more music listening and finished Week 10 of the chart...

To bed with the Cooper boys...

Highlight of the Day : Charts and cooking...
