Sunday - and it was going to be busy...

Reliability the best it's been...

Of course, inevitably, it will take a tumble over the next couple of days (I know as I'm writing this on Tuesday morning)...

Meanwhile, my set up was still set up and would have to be taken down and moved to Roslin this morning...

...but not yet - there were things to be done...

Like listening to the first couple of records from the new box and writing this up...

In the end, a rushed breakfast, a panicky take down but still managed to be around 15 minutes early at Paul's and again at John W's for today's rehearsal...

We played "songs we thought we needed to play" - which turned out to be around 30 or so of the 46 on the Wedding setlist...

Key change for "Keep On Running" was too high for me so we reverted.  "500 Miles" was worked out.  "Take It Easy" had an intro added from John B.  A new bit was added to "Hotel California".  "Dakota" and "Virginia Plain" were tightened, as were "Rocket Man" (without band intros), "Mr Brightside" and "Brown Eyed Girl".  "At Last" was played for the first time in a long time.  And we played "Mrs Robinson" without band intros, again, for the first time in a long time...

The "tapes" lasted 3.5 hours, of which 1.5 hrs ended up on the session MP3s for the guys by close of play...

Post rehearsal, over to the hospital to see mum...

Surprisingly good, given the scare on Thursday...

Still very shaky though...

Got her to put her hearing aids in...

Importantly, in the correct ears...

She’s been putting aids in wrong ears.   Apparently she always thought blue right, red left .  But, based on the sound outlet and the microphone input position, there's no way that could work...

So, it’s red right, blue left....

She then spent her time complaining about all the noises she could hear...

Machines in the room were deemed roadworks outside...

And now, of course, she can hear the mad women in the bed opposite shouting and swearing much more clearly, while the new lady to her right seems to just be lying in her bed shitting in her pants the entire time and stinking the room out...

Which is nice...

Poor old soul...

Showed mum Kitty’s dance routine from Newcastle today (2nd prize in the duo category!) and Mum's comment was that she’s "very supple"...

Anti bios finished, IV is out, seeing the physio tomorrow...

I got her to do her exercises today and told her she needs to do them all the time...

She was very pleased about that....

...and waved me off as I exited the ward for the long drive home due to inevitable stand still traffic on the ring road...

Home and a Chinese ordered...

As I awaited the time I was to collect it, the set up was re-set up for home rehearsals...

Chinese enjoyed, along with "Death in Paradise"...

Then, back to the machines to edit today's session...

Quite a few complicated fixes required to make a number of songs artificially workable re errors made this afternoon...

Just after midnight, it was done...

To bed...

Highlight of the Day : Rehearsing...
