Up pre 7 and doing the New Music Friday trawl as ever...

Post the Coop, which had soundtracked overnight, played "Faust IV", bought 50 years ago tomorrow for 45p (around £6.50 in today's money)...

I remember thinking it was a bit weird...

Now?  Perfectly normal...

Then, to creating a piece from yesterday's piano recording...

And, lo, it was good...

...and included in the subsequently compiled, recorded and uploaded podcast this morning...

Anne arrived back from her morning of Zumba, coffe and cake...

"Leverage" enjoyed...

These, a forgotten order, arrived...

Managed to rip one before hobbling off down the hill and onto the bus into town...

...soundtracked by the podcast and Tweeting about the new piece...

To The Newsroom at 5pm for 69th birthday celebration with chum Bernardo...

Also in attendance, CK, Raymondo, Wenders...

...and Janine...

There was, inevitably, some rubbish work talk...

...and some taking of pictures and posting them to our Whatapp group...

The party of six were later joined by Wendy's as yet unpictured daughter, Pamela...

...for tasty food, courtesy Bernardo...

A short walk to Picardy Place...

...for an evening of fairground games and alcoholic Slush Puppies...

Pamela finally made it into a pic...

I feigned surprise at how hard it was to actually win any of the games - it was after all, an indoor version of "The Shows"...

But, of course, ultra competitive Raymondo managed to get enough win stamps to claim a small duck...

...which he donated to Janine...

Time to call it a night...

One last picture session...

...and out...

Bernie and I chummed Christine and Janine to Waverley for their train, then took a bus along to Corstorphine to end the night at The White Lady, where more beers were enjoyed...

Out around midnight...

Bernie set off on the walk home while the Exec Producer very kindly picked me up and took me back up the hill...

I was, rather surprisingly, not the worse for wear...

Bed beckoned...

Highlight of the Day : Bernie's birthday celebrations...
