A day for mothers...

But, first, after yesterday's listen to "Shinin' On", their 1st of 2 LPs of 1974, got sucked into the discography of Grand Funk Railroad, including the LPs released by the two offshoots, Mark Farner and Flint during their 1977-1981 hiatus...

Ended up compiling a 40 track 3 hour long compilation...

It's what I do...

Anyway, this then soundtracked a post lunch and post "Leverage" one hour journey due to traffic to the infirmary to see my mum, sister Sheila having already visited this morning...

"What day is it today?"

"Eh?"

"Mothers Day?"

"Hmmm, loadsa chocolates for me!"

"But I'm still stuck here...."

Home around 4:30, a quick turnaround and then a drive over to Anne's mum's to meet up with Brother in Law Keith and the second celebrated mother of the day...

A bus to Haymarket...

...and a short walk (great that Mary is still mobile, unlike my mum) to Rustom...

...for some very tasty Indian Fayre, for the third Mothers Day in a row following on from last year and the year before...

Gol Gappa for me, chick peas and potatoes in a crispy shell with tamarind sauce, which were, surprisingly, cold but none the less tasty for that - and super hot spice wise...

Lahori Masala Fish and Chicken Tikka for Mary & Keith, with unpictured Mushroom Pakora for Anne...

For my main, once again off piste with Aloo Matar Keema - mince, potatoes and peas...

Chicken starter for Mary (2 starters for the mum), Anne tried and loved Punjabi Masala Chicken...

...while Keith remained on piste with a Chicken Jalfrezi...

All superb...

Around two hours after entry, exit...

...including a possible album cover...

Then, Keith headed off on the tram and the remaining trio headed to Anne's mum's for a coffee, noticing this strange street light outside her building...

Home just in time for "Death in Paradise"...

The accidental flowers, now a week or so old, are still going strong...

To bed with Yes...

Highlight of the Day : Mothers Day celebrations, even though the mothers are not at their best...
