Return of the muse...

Anne's birthday but, what with all the recent anniversary celebrations and the birthday tea last night, it was a bit of an anti-climax...

I chose some early Alice Cooper albums to listen to as I was out and about. "Pretties For You" was the group's debut in 1969. It was released on Frank Zappa's Straight label and Frank had just bought the painting which he ended up putting on the cover...

I remember buying the 2LP set "Schooldays" in 1973 and thinking the two sets included, "Pretties For You" and "Easy Action" were shit compared with "Love it to Death", "Killer", "School's Out" and "Billion Dollar Babies" but now, with the benefit of years of listening, I've learned to love these two strange albums and wouldn't be without them...

In HMV at lunchtime I found Roger Waters' 2CD opera "Ca Ira" in the racks for just £3 and couldn't resist...

Back home, as Anne was out at aerobics, I listened to the first disc - it's quite good but let's just say it's not Mozart....

On Anne's return we had some lovely lamb's mince with mash and sprouts - tasty - then watched tonight's "Coronation St" double bill before I fired up the studio and worked on a new remix - "The Angels Took His Soul" - finishing it within four hours...

Not much of a birthday for Anne but, when the muse strikes...

Highlight of the Day : Happy birthday to Anne

"The Angel's Took His Soul"

Rogue apostrophe alert.

Cannot have you going to the printers with typos now can we?

Rogue apostrophe removed - could of course have been rubbish Scottish English - i.e. The angel has took his soul....

But it isn't...

Thanks
