Fruitless, worthless...

Playlist
CPE Bach & WF Bach - Symphonies & Concertos
Alice Cooper - Live at Montreux 2005
Jason Falkner - Necessity
Sarah McLachlan - Afterglow
Pat Metheny Group - The Way Up
Heaven 17 - The Best of Heaven 17

Start the day, as is my wont at present, with some lovely classical stuff - followed by the mighty Alice Cooper in live mode...

Mr Alice Cooper - he ROCKS!

Another frustrating but strangely enjoyable time at the computer trying to find out how everything should work to put new tracks together...

James Jamieson called to ask if I was going along to Out of the Bedroom - but I declined, preferring instead to work...

Nothing produced however...

TV was "Where Have Our Pensions Gone?" - no-one seems to realise that even if you have a fund of £100,000, of which you'll probably take £25,000 as a lump sum, the remaining £75,000 will provide a non-increasing pension of around just £5,250 pa...

And that's with no provision for your partner if you die...

And that's the figure before your pension's taxed!!

Of course these blunt numbers are never stated in these programmes - fair play to them though for highlighting the fact that the one-eyed wank, Mr Gordon Brown has been raping all pension funds to the tune of over £5 BILLION per annum since becoming Chancellor in 1997 - but will take no responsibility for the mess we're in...

OK so the pension scandal was followed by "Question Time" and "This Week", all of which contrasted nicely with last night's fayre - two episodes of "Desperate Housewives" back to back...

Travel and car for the German trip are now booked and we await word from the Vineyard where we are hoping to spend half the holiday, that they can take us on the days we have requested...

Did three days worth of dishes to the sounds of Heaven 17 - singing along to all their hits...

I now have wrinkled fingers...

Highlight of the Day : Any comment which Disco Stu makes on this entry, about me not having a highlight of the day today...

Hey buddy, no highlight, what's up?
I saw Martyn Ware on the bbc the other morning, he wis advertising his new interactive show entitled 'Future of Sound'. The show is touring nationally and features a device that can turn your brainwaves into music. Why didn't we think of that? http://www.heaven17.com/news.html

Hmmm - someone mentioned that to me and said they thought it would be rubbish - didn't know it was Martin Ware - MW is a relation in some way to my sister (your old school teacher)'s family - her father in law holidayed at MW's place in Venice recently...

Small world...

Hope you like my highlight of the day now...
