Spent a bit of time today printing covers for all the CDs I’ve recently burned and put them into boxes. Checked my last 100 CDs. 33 are CD-Rs. Perhaps it’s time for a rethink re my CD acquisitional lifestyle?

This afternoon, Anne went to Tynecastle for the Hearts v Rangers game. Hearts lost 1-0 to a late deflected goal...

I walked down to the main road and caught a bus along to Anne’s mum’s for the family tea which, tonight, was a Chinese takeaway, as several attendees had been at the big game and Anne’s mum had no prep time...

The food was good and everyone was surprisingly upbeat. I suppose they were all expecting to be beaten...

Back home we watched “Planet Earth” which this week was on jungles, their flora and fauna, with particularly spectacular shots of some birds of paradise and some particularly nasty stuff about spores invading the bodies of insects and, literally, eating them from the inside out until plants sprouted from their lifeless bodies and burst, sending ever more spores into the atmosphere....

In ant colonies, workers take any ants showing symptoms of having been infected and carry them far from the nest to avoid an epidemic...

Then “Match of the Day 2”, which was rather mundane by comparison...

I ended the evening with “The South Bank Show”, a very interesting edition this week focussing on the life and work of pop artist, Peter Blake, probably best known for having design the cover of “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” by The Beatles...

Made me want to get stuck into some artwork again....

It’s been too long....

And, finally, some great piano music from Messrs Satie and Debussy to round off the day...

Highlight of the Day : The South Bank Show
