Gloopy...

Playlist
Various – Jukebox Shuffleplay
Wigwam - Being
This Mortal Coil – It’ll End In Tears
Trion – Tortoise
Michael Hoenig – Departure From the Northern Wasteland
Haydn – String Quartets
Tony Williams – Flying High

Finished off burning the 21 disc “Haydn Complete String Quartets” box set and it can now go back to Dr Prog....

Also got sucked into downloading albums for free from some MP3 blogs around the net and ended up with more music...

This Mortal Coil – a classic from the 80’s which contains two great tracks, both sung by Liz Fraser of the Cocteau Twins – Tim Buckley’s “Song to the Siren” and Roy Harper’s “Another Day”...

Wigwam – early 70’s prog from Finland – though I believe some of their members hailed from England (including the singer – which is always a boon for European bands who sing in English...)

Trion – a band I’d never heard of before. Their album sports a Roger Dean like prog-style cover. The music is entirely instrumental and features much mellotroning...

Michael Hoenig – one time temporary member of Tangerine Dream – he features on a 2 disc set I have of the Dream recorded live in 1975 at the Royal Albert Hall introduced by John Peel – his album is vintage T Dream like analogue sequencer synth stuff...

In the evening watched “Coronation Street” two episodes of “CSI” and one of “CSI : Miami”, all from tapes we made a while back...

Also had an Indian meal delivered. Just too gloopy as far as I’m concerned and so the search is on for a new supplier...

Highlight of the Day : Probably Wigwam and Hoenig...
