One day, two quartets and a lizard...

Playlist

A day of two quartets...

But, first, writing this and acquiring some new releases (see below), including the music which will feature at a contemporary dance performance tomorrow night...

At 9:10 took Anne through the rain to her Zumba class...

Then back home and loaded up the car and drove out to Roslin for a band session...

We continue to work on Bob Dylan songs and today's session included a 25 minute discussion on how we ought to go about this...

Today we worked on "A Hard Rains A-Gonna Fall", "All Along the Watchtower", "Mr Tambourine Man", "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Hurricane"...

Three and a half hours in all, from 10:30 till 2:00, with maybe two and a half on playing, from which the "best" versions of the 5 songs totaled 32 minutes...

Home via the, as ever, congested bypass...

Anne was along visiting her mum...

A quick turnaround and back down the hill for a bus into town for the second quartet of the day - drinks and pizza with Gary, Craig and Willie...

The extortionate (£7 a pint) Indigo Yard was the drinks venue, Pizza Express for the pizzas and a glass of wine - also v expensive but helped by 25% off the entitre bill app...

Which was nice...

A "nightcap" at the West Rooms, sitting outside for an hour...

...an orange juice for your not too the worse for wear correspondent...

Willie and I left Craig and Gary to be given a lift home later by Gary's son...

A 26 caught, Willie alighting at Haymarket for his train home...

There was an old man on a bus who may have to finally shave again tomorrow...

...and there was a cheeky wee lizard on the back step as I arrived home at 9:30...

You don't see that very often...

Bed at 11:30...

Highlight of the Day: Two quartets... No, wait, it might have been the lizard...

Lizards? We don't get too many lizards around these parts.
