Into August, super early...
Editing yesterday's session and writing this up...
The view from the office this morning...
It was the weekend...
Breakfast soundtracked by Yes...
The rest of the morning was spent on financials...
My music "career" has never been as successful as it is these days - even though I very seldom perform any more...
But, of course, that's not enough to keep us going so, you know, other managing of stuff (but not actually "working") needs to get done, as regards maintaining matters...
All of that, however, was put into perspective as, just when we were wrapping up, a dreadfully sad message from Anne's chum Teresa's daughter arrived, to say Theresa had passed away in hospital yesterday evening...
We knew she was very ill but had not been able to raise her since she had to pull out of last Friday's lunch with Anne and Debbie...
It turns out she was admitted to hospital last weekend...
Such a lovely person - full of life and so very positive about everything, even recently when she must have known she was facing the worst...
She will be very much missed...
We spent some time looking back at our holiday on October 2018 in Ludlow when, completely unplanned, we happened upon Theresa and her husband Christopher, who also happened to be visiting the town...
We had some top nights indeed during our time there...
Anne was often walking up the Pentland Hills to with Theresa, accompanied by her black Labrador, Mack...
Theresa, Anne and Debbie were indeed the three Musketeers of long leisurely lunches, long hill walks and visits to the ballet over the years...
Sad, sad times...
And so, rather a subdued day...
Fang visited...
...during which, I took the opportunity to picture some garden scenes out front...
...before he headed off to who knows where...
We struggled to find anything to watch across either Prime or Netflix, reduced to a dubbed episode of the Italian take on "Citadel", to which its debatable we will ever return...
And started "Benidorm is Murder" from Chanel 5, which was not too bad...
Later, after Queens had been absolutely thrashed, 5-1 away at newly promoted East Kilbride, Anne was keeping an eye on Hearts in Aberdeen...
They led 1-0 until the 90th minute when the Dons equalised - only for the JTs to then have a man sent off and a penalty against them awarded in 95...
And so, 2nd bottom of the league - just like Queens...
On this day last year, they were both top of their respective leagues...
A documentary on Barbra Streisand watched - amazing how she has made so much money and became such a star - but all down to her own resilience really...
"A Star is Born" was repeated thereafter but I watched with my headphones on and did not see the end...
Not mentioned it here but, for the last week or so, after waking up one morning with a clicking left jaw, said ailment has not improved - extremely annoying and, indeed painful...

Apparently such things are supposed to heal on their own...
Let's see how that goes...
But, as mentioned above, perspective is important...
