Playlist
Playlist while out and about today was another 12 of "my own" 1970s No 1s...
Meanwhile, a few full LPs soundtracked this morning's "work"...
And then, this evening, today's newly acquired CDs provided the entertainment in my lugs...
Anyway, up pre 6...
Despite all the prep last night of uploading all the pics, it still took an absolute age to write this - mainly from a formatting POV rather than a writing POV - so, I'll probably come back later to do proper playlist pics etc...
The view from the office this morning...
A light breakfast...
...and out...
...and a 15 minute drive to Skipton...
Parked for the day (if we wanted)...
Our target was the castle but it wasn't open until 10...
So, a walk to the centre...
...for an initial look around, refamiliarising ourselves...
Just before 10, we were back at the castle gates...
...and then, in, for a "self-guided tour"...
I will let the pictures do the talking, although, I may come back later and add some detail...
And out...
To the chapel...
Then, at the cafe, coffee and shortbread time...
Then, we left the castle...
We asked who lived in the inaccessible part - it's the Fattorini family, who own it, having bought it in 1957, when it was a ruin and "did it up" with their own money, earned from retailing, mail order catalogues etc etc...
A walk around the town, splitting up to each go to shops that attracted...
Then, lunch at Helene's Tea rooms...
...followed by a further walk around the canals...
...before walking back to the car around 2:15...
Petrol purchased and then, home, with ill-gotten gains...
This...
...plus all of the below, which were all sampled this evening...
Beer and crisps in the sun in the garden...
...in the company of butterflies...
This evening, a takeaway from Rozis was anticipated...
...as we enjoyed drinks at the Forrester's Arms...
Order made, cooking awaited, then, post collection, Indian enjoyed...
On telly tonight, the first three episodes of Season 4 of "Professor T"...
Then, downloading downloads of all of today's acquisitions, plus the second volume of the Lebanese piano music series and all 9 CDs in Ponti's Scriabin series...
Highlight of the Day: Skipton Castle...

The castle looks impressive. Can't beat a good canal walk either.
