Up and to podcasting...

...with my sliced open by scissors in a washing up accident finger, hampering me...

A Twitter reference to the Tubes tour of 1981, led me to my diary - noting that I travelled to Offenbach for the gig with no ticket and no place to stay if I missed the last train back to my then home Felsberg...

The diary reads like I was staying with someone I knew but, in fact, I merely got chatting at the gig to some people from a collective in nearby Mainz and ended up back at their house for the night and enjoyed a bike ride with them the next day - they even gave me a lift to the station for my journey home...

Hmmm...

Today's classical piece, a live recording from the Wigmore Hall of the final Liszt piece of the project...

...soundtracked an unpictured breakfast...

Squirrel frenzy at the feeding station this morning with three of the wee monkeys in attendance...

Then, a visit from Fang...

Today's random record, coincidentally of course, was....The Tubes!

Bought on 19 June 1976...

One of my favourite LPs...

The listening was interrupted by a call from my mum - worried that I hadn't called yesterday - to be honest I was so busy yesterday I forgot...

She's doing well - spirits up and waiting on the all clear to get home - the end is in sight - light at the end of the tunnel etc etc...

Other listening this morning comprised new arrivals from Prog Rock Willie and tracks from composers featured in my "Classical Composers" timeline - re Renaissance times - a couple of CDs ordered to fill some gaps...

As you do...

This afternoon - scone time...

It's fair to say I only "helped" - these are the hands of the main protaganist....

I watched and, hopefully, learned....

Success...

Lunch...

Then, out to meet up with Dr Prog at 4pm...

...in the park near his home...

A walk ensued...

A talk ensued - liking the beardless look...

jacqui also in attendance - they were not dancing - it just looks like that....

A good couple of hours and some shopping on the way home...

Once there, some pasta cooking from the EP - I helped with the soundtrack...

Dancing ensued...

Yum...

Pudding was the remains of today's scone haul...

An episode of "Vera" entertained - set in a fictional village, which was played by of our faves, Alnmouth..

The view late on...

...while soundtracked by LPs which charted in week 23 between 1969 and 1979...

Saturday - yay!
