Up early and finalising the weekly podcast and posting it up...

Discovered a Japanese string quartet which, along with having recorded works by the likes of Shostakovich, have also issued CDs of their take on pieces by King Crimson, Yes, ELP, Genesis and Pink Floyd...

Interesting...

Breakfast at home, then, a lift into town to meet up with Count Brodski at the Record Fair...

17 titles procured for twenty three of your English pounds...

I am mad...

A bus home, for half the way accompanied by the Count...

On the way down the hill, this wee chum was spotted...

It is Candy, successor to Ziggy, both of whom were former nemeses to both Crispy and, later, Meg the Black Cat...

She lives on and is, despite her grumpiness, a wee cutie...

The afternoon was spent, rather than re a trip to Cowdenbeath to see Queens final league game (1-1 with an equaliser to QoS in the 96th minute consigning the "Blue Brazil" to the play offs to retain their spot in the Championship), ripping and listening to the new acquisitions...

Queens will now play Falkirk home and away and, if they beat them, Hamilton home and away and, if they beat Accies, the 11th team from the Premiership home and away...

They need to win all three two legged ties to gain promotion...

So far this season Queens have taken just 3 points from 12 re Falkirk and an even worse 1 from 12 (granted, plus a glorious cup win) re Hamilton...

But you never know...

A table booked for an early birthday meal at Bell's Diner for 5:30...

Very tasty indeed - it's been too long...

A nut burger for your correspondent, with no bun but extra salad...

Mind you, the sides of potato salad and fried onions kind of negated the bun give-up...

Yum...

A walk around Stockbridge...

... before heading home to watch our second episode of the day of the very entertaining "Person of Interest"...

And so my 55th year on the planet drew to a close...

Highlight of the Day : Back at Bell's Diner...
