Sunday morning and not quite as bright as it had been...

Breakfast...

...and then, a walk towards the Mambo (Museum of Modern Art Bologna)...

There seemed to be some kind of sponsored walk happening...

...which was making its way past our target...

The museum didn't open till noon so we took a walk back into the centre of town...

...passing one of the reasonably well hidden canals in the city...

...and noting further towers - this one is now a B&B...

We approached...

...our new target - with even more steps than the Campanile in Florence - a challenge indeed for the pretty much shot knees of Mr CBQ...

Up we went regardless...

The layout was much more easily conquered than that in Florence...

Tantalising views previewed what we'd see from the top...

Upwards looking downwards...

Upwards looking upwards...

Little holes in the floor allowed us to see from whence we'd come...

The Exec Producer was finding it all rather easy...

Nearly there now surely...

Camera out through a window just prior to...

...reaching the top at last...

And the reward was this...

It was pretty blowy up there...

A flea market was spotted...

And so to the descent...

...which was a little quicker but probably even worse on the old knees (and nine years ago broken ankle - still in gyp giving mode)...

Spotted market located...

Much to both of our enjoyment, I think anyway, maybe not...

A rummage resulted in zero outlays...

...not even on this painting of weird cows...

We were now on the search for ice cream...

Chums Debbie and Sid were in Bologna in February and had given us a map with a few places of interest (including ice cream shops) marked upon it - in fact it turned out we independently booked the self same apartment in which they stayed...

Onward...

...and target located...

...and tasty ice cream scoffed...

...outside said purveyor of creamy delights...

Now it was time for a church visit, on our way back to the art gallery...

Impressive...

Around 1:30 we arrived at a now opened Mambo...

Tickets purchased and in we went...

Some very good abstract work on display but not particularly well recorded here by your CCTV avoiding correspondent...

A film about magic and finance...

This was my favourite exhibit but I failed to record either artist or title.  It's a diary entry for each date from 1 January through to 31 December but each entry comes from a different year...

More magic...

A combination of "I Am Become Death" and work with aluminium...

Exit...

...and to the cafe...

...which was one of the grooviest we encountered on our trip...

Exit...

...passing more art as we made our way home...

We swithered about a basket ball match but decided against - and took a late lunch at an American Bar...

...before encountering yet another parade - this time by bikes...

...including one pulling a table football table...

Relaxing on the balcony...

...and a third parade - this of a more religious nature...

Anne checked the latest Hearts news on the iPod touch...

Before we headed back out for dinner...

A beer in a back street discovered on the way home last night as being "hip and trendy"...

So, just the place for us...

Ahem...

Onwards into town...

..and past today's conquered tower...

...and on...

...to the University district...

...with its info notices a plenty...

We found an excellent wee Trattoria...

Further spaghetti was much enjoyed...

A reasonably long walk home...

Still doing ten miles a day...

Crazy for a "relaxing" holiday...

Enjoyable nonetheless...

Before hitting the sack, I watched the film "300", dubbed into German - which did not make it any better...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Up another tower, art enjoyed, great food, great cafe...everything really...
